Chapter 26

"There is no true love without jealousy"

Rian POV

I listen to the balanced sound of the soft and deep snores, which strangely causes me to sleep peacefully and easily. Half asleep, I roll over to my right side to get more comfortable. Birds chirping... the bright sunlight passing through the window to light up the white room beautifully... what can get better than this?

I slowly and softly open my eyes. But once I notice a masculine face inches away from mine, my eyes fly wide open and my heart stops.

I scream.

I immediately sit up and scoot back, snatching my pillow and hugging it tightly to keep me armed. After looking at the face for only a second, I realize that the handsome boy was Jungkook.

I scream again.

Jungkook's heavy eyes slowly opens, and his head drowsily turns towards me. But after only a few seconds, his mind finally registers into reality. He widens his eyes and jumps up from the bed, while screaming. Jungkook tugs the bed sheets up to his chin, while I hug my pillow closer to me.

There is an awkward moment of silence.

"Wha- what are you doing here?" I stammer, pointing my shaking finger at him.

"I- I don't know" He gulps, shaking his head quickly. But suddenly, before we can say anything else, the door flies open. I spin my head around and widen my eyes when I see them walk in the room.

"Oh my!" Jenny covers her mouth in shock as she stares at Jungkook and I. Jinyoo, looking utterly confused, looks at Jungkook and I back and forth.

I bite my lip and throw my head into the pillow to hide my face.

I can feel the sharp stares from Jenny and Jinyoo, causing me to feel small. I avoid eye contact, and stare at my fidgeting fingers.

"Here" Jungkook's voice causes me to sit up straight. I look behind me and kindly take the cup of hot cocoa from the tray that Jungkook is holding. Everyone else takes their cups and muffins from the tray, and eats silently. I glance across from me, and notice Jenny giving the cold look.

"So... what happened again?" Jenny asks me with a sharp tone. I shoot my head up, but shrug.

"I don't really know"

"Of course you wouldn't know, but our little popstar here probably does" Jinyoo stares coldly at Jungkook from across. I elbow Jinyoo softly, causing him to flinch.

"Behave" I whisper sharply. Jinyoo frowns.

"Honestly, I don't remember either..." Jungkook mutters. "I only remember falling into a deep sleep on the couch... and then the next thing I know, I'm next to Rian"

"Try to remember!" Jinyoo snaps, causing Jungkook to raise his hands up to surrender.

"Okay, okay... let me think" Jungkook purses his lips and closes his eyes. "After I went to sleep, I think..."

"Hurry!" Jinyoo whines. I glare at him and raise my hand up to punch him on the shoulder. Jinyoo raises his hands up defensively.

"Oh! I remember!" Jungkook raises his finger up, interrupting our little spar. "I remember that at the middle of the night, I woke up. I felt thirsty, so I walked out of the room to get a glass of water"

"And then?" Jinyoo asks.

"I think," Jungkook mumbles, "I must have lost my memory. While I went back to the room- still half asleep... I probably thought that I was in my room back at school, and that the bed was mine..."
