Still Michael’s POV
‘yeah, you can say that, but don’t blame him, ever since his parents died he hasn’t laughed or joked, or even express any other emotion than anger’ I explained
‘but he has been laughing a lot, and he has been smiling, and grinning and he was amused’
‘yeah, but he has to, because there is a girl around’
‘well, he could just be himself around me, I don’t mind’
“he better not if he’s an arrogant jerk” she thought and I laughed
‘why can’t I be myself around you?’ Marcus asked suddenly from behind us, Evangeline gasped, turned around and hit Marcus on his cheek, again
‘I warned you’ she pointed to him while he held his hand on his cheek, in the meanwhile everyone had turned to look at what was going on.
‘and don’t listen to people their conversations, it’s rude!’
‘you are not going to let her treat you like that Marcus?’ Adam asked
‘what do you want him to do? Hit Evangeline so Jacob will beat him up?’ I asked him
‘yeah’ Evangeline turned to him with hurt in her eyes
‘no, I don’t mean it like that’ Adam said quickly when he saw Evangeline looking at him
‘it’s okay’
‘no it’s not, I’m sorry’ he said but she just shook it off
‘it’s really okay’
‘but no one should ever hit you’
‘a little bit too late don’t you think’ she said and then she turned around to get her bag from the limousine. When she got it she closed the door and started walking towards the school while pulling her hood on.
‘good job Adam’ I said
‘it wasn’t my intention to upset her’
‘but you did’
‘it wasn’t my fault!’ he said
‘who’s fault was it then? Mine?’ Marcus asked him
‘yes!’
‘how is it my fault?’
‘you scared her and then she slapped you’
‘yeah, but who commented on it? I wasn’t going to do anything because I had to be reasonable, she warned me.’ That shut Adam up.
‘good job man, you shut him up’ I said while slapping Marcus on his back
‘I didn’t say that you could just slap me’ he said to me
‘sorry’ I said quickly before he would hit me
‘okay, why didn’t we follow Evang- Evan?’ Deamon asked and we all shrugged
‘let’s go then’ he said and we all turned around and started walking towards the school.
‘maybe we should split up’ I proposed
‘why?’ Jaden asked me
‘well, if Evangeline tries to run away again…’
‘good idea’ Deamon said
‘we’ll all go through different entrances, and then we’ll go with the stairs or elevator that lead up to your dorm’
‘no, we don’t need to’ Marcus said
