As Mallika descended the stairs, all eyes were upon her. Basant, Monika, and Sumedh discreetly observed from upstairs, hidden in anticipation.
Bua Dadi, a dignified figure, approached Mallika and gracefully touched her feet, expressing blessings. "Khush raho," she said, acknowledging Mallika's improved attire.
Monika mumbled, "Huh, Aap rehne do toh zaroor rahegi... Khud hi uski khushiyon ke peeche padi hai aur keh rahe hai khush raho."
Bua Dadi continued in low voice, "Hm.. Achha hai ki isbar tum theek se tayar ho... Aur abki baar koi gadbad mat karna, Jo bhi pooche woh log, uska Theek se jawab dena... Aurr umeed hai ki tumne khana banana toh seekh hi liya hoga... Chalo..."
Mallika continued with a stoic expression and a lowered head, feeling the weight of their scrutinizing gazes.
Bua dadi : "Mallika inse milo, ye hai Animesh..."
Bua Dadi introduced Animesh with a warm gesture, and Mallika met his gaze, exchanging a strained smile.
Bua dadi : "Aur ye hai unke Maata, Pita"
Continuing the introductions, Bua Dadi presented Animesh's parents. Mallika, maintaining composure, greeted them with a respectful namaste, her hands joined.

Upon hearing Bua Dadi's unexpected comment, Mallika jerked her head upward, a mixture of surprise and concern etched on her face. However, Bua Dadi swiftly widened her eyes, a silent gesture urging Mallika to maintain silence. Mallika, understanding the unspoken cue, obediently lowered her head once more.
Her silent plea for the meeting's swift conclusion was evident in the way her eyes sought solace from her mother. Mallika cast a pleading gaze at her mom, who, in response, blinked reassuringly.
Basant, the skeptic, added, "Jise hume success nahin hone dena hai."
Back downstairs
Back downstairs, Mallika's mom, contemplating the situation, suggested, "Ab mai kya kehti hun ki hum toh ek doosre ko ache se jaan chuke hai, par ye rishta final karne se pehle ek baar bacho ko bhi apas mein baat karne dena chahiye. Kya hai shaadi toh unhe hi karni hai. Ek baar aapas mein baat kar lenge toh acha rahega."
