Her lips were pulled up into a hesitant smile, her usually confident stance now a little shy as she nervously tucked her hair behind her ear. It made him notice her earrings, the ones he had bought as a birthday present years ago. It warmed his heart to know she kept his simple gift safe given their rocky relationship back then.

"Heejae, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be resting," he let out as soon as he reached her. He didn't care if she was angry with him or if it would enrage her further. It didn't matter when it came to her health, their baby's health.

Her smile fell a little as she looked down, her hand tightening around her purse strap. "I'm alright, Yoongi. The doctor said everything is fine and I can—"

"You met the doctor? When? Why didn't you call me?" he quickly interrupted her, taking a step forward, his voice going lower as he frowned at her.

Heejae was trying her best to not get irritated, she didn't like being interrupted. Putting her best smile on, she looked up. "My mother called our family doctor home. She wanted to be sure everything was okay but that's not important right now. What is important is that—"

"What is important is that you should be home," he cut her off again, his hands flying in the air as he spoke. "I don't care what the doctor says, you should have stayed home instead of coming here on your own. You need to be more careful. What if something happened on the way? How will you deal with it all? Have you even seen the crowd in front of your office? It's cra—"

"Will you just shut up and listen?" Heejae raised her voice, interrupting him just as she put her fingers on his lips, stopping him from talking further. Yoongi's eyes widened as they flitted from her eyes to around them and back to her. People had stopped what they were doing and were staring at them.

"Let them stare, Yoongi," she said as if reading his thoughts or maybe the panic in his eyes. "The cat is already out of the bag, what's the point in taking preventive measures now? It's useless. This is what I wanted to say that day but I was too angry to think straight."

His eyes softened, his hand going up to grab her hand resting against his face to pull her closer. She was right, there was no point in hiding their obvious chemistry. "So, you're not angry anymore?" he asked her, hope shimmering in his eyes as he smiled slightly.

Her smile instantly fell then. "No, I'm still angry with you and my brother for thinking you could just push me into doing what you thought was right. Don't you ever dare do that again or I'll leave you for real."

Yoongi chuckled, relief washing over him as he watched her glowering face. He leaned down, quickly stealing a kiss from her. She gasped and then turned her head to the side to see everyone now back to their work, trying to ignore the couple even as some smiled and blushed at their public display of affection.

"Yoongi!" she chided the grinning man who just leaned down again to press his lips against her forehead. "I promise I won't do it again, I won't make decisions for you but you have to promise me in return that you won't run away from an argument either. If we want this to work out, we need to talk no matter how we are feeling momentarily because in the end we are bound to go back to each other."

Heejae smiled brightly, wrapping her arms around his waist and nodded. "Yes, I promise, I will talk about everything I'm feeling," she affirmed and pulled back. "Now take me on a date, we are hungry."

Laughing, he nodded, asking for a few minutes to change his clothes and inform his manager. As he changed his clothes and removed the makeup he thought about how she had used the word 'date' and how they had never gone on a date. It would be their first date ever in the open and though it was impromptu, he could certainly make it a little special.

Exiting the room with a little bounce in his step, he only wanted to hurry to his girlfriend. His steps halted, however, when he crashed into Jimin. Both men let out grunts of pain, Yoongi ready to scold the younger for not paying attention but one look at his face and he stopped.

Jimin had his head down, his face flushed as his eyes blinked rapidly. Frowning, he clasped the younger man's shoulder firmly. "Hey, you okay?"

At his concerned voice, Jimin looked up trying to smile brightly but failing terribly. He was so tired of pretending all the time. "No, I'm not but don't worry, I'll be fine soon. I should be fine for my own sake. Have fun on your date, hyung."

When he would have moved to go into the dressing room, Yoongi stopped him with his firm grip. "Look, I might not have been attentive to everyone recently but I'm still here for you guys. We are brothers and if you are having a difficult time, don't hesitate to come to any of us to seek comfort. There are a lot of people who care for you, Jimin. It's not only her in this world."

Jimin's eyes filled with tears, his nose turning red as he nodded. "Yeah, yeah, I know. Thanks, hyung but I just...I just need to be alone right now." He took a deep shuttering breath and when he looked at the older man, he looked as if he was going to break down but didn't want anyone to see.

Yoongi let him go slowly, his heart heavy as he watched his friend dash into the room and shut the door with a loud bang. He walked swiftly out of the back rooms and into the hallway. He saw Heejae first, her hand on her friend's shoulder just like he had moments ago on Jimin's.

Anika saw him approaching them and quickly put on a poor excuse of a smile on her face. Something happened and Yoongi’s intuition told him something bigger might happen if Jimin kept chasing the woman like this. He didn't want him getting hurt over her.

The camerawoman did not engage with him which he was thankful for as she bowed to him and left after bidding Heejae goodbye. He wasn't sure if he could have been polite with her after seeing Jimin’s desolate eyes.

Heejae smiled when he finally reached her, her hand grabbing his tightly as she sighed watching her friend leave. “I wish I could do something to help both of them. They are hurting so much and for what? Some so-called societal norms. What do I do, Yoongi? My heart breaks for Anika and JImin.”

Yoongi caressed her face, bringing her eyes to him as he said, “Everyone has to figure out their life themselves. We can't do anything when it comes to matters of the heart. Let them figure it out themselves just like we are, step by step.”

She laughed lightly and started walking. “Yeah, step by step.”

Camera shutters went off in the dark alley, hidden from the view. The person behind the camera hissed as cold drops of rain fell on his body just as laughter rang in the street as the couple he was ordered to follow around ran through the drizzle, looking for shelter.

Disregarding his discomfort and focusing on his job, he picked his camera up, hoping it did not get damaged as he continued to snap pictures of the couple who were now standing under the shade. From the lens, he couldn't judge the energy crackling between them but it certainly caught the moment when the man gently cupped the woman's face and kissed her long and deep.

Satisfied with the pictures, knowing he was going to get good money today, he left the couple, lost in their own world as they whispered words of endearment in the rain. The man, however, missed the eyes set on him, following him stealthily.
