~🧵Last Moments🧵~

Licorice and Red Velvet walked together to the chambers of where Dark Enchantress had called them too.
They were going to be assigned a mission,
as usual.

When they got there, Dark Enchantress was waiting for them.
She explained what she wanted to be done, and how to do it.

Usual. Normal. Fine.

Suddenly, a snap was heard from the distance.

Dark Enchantress changed her mind.
They were going to investigate that sound instead.

What a horrible mistake.

Red Velvet and Licorice turned around to where the sound was heard.
Licorice could feel Red Velvet's hand resting on his.
He blushed, and covered his face with his free hand.

Red Velvet saw him and smirked.

"What's up with you?" He teasingly asked.

"Nothing! Nothing..." Licorice mumbled.

They kept walking to the room.
The room they were headed to was the string room.

The room where the Ancients were held.

As Licorice stepped foot in there, he could feel something.

Something was horribly wrong.

He brushed it off as nothing.
They looked around the room and found nothing too different.

But just as they were about to leave,

The archway crumbled, leaving them trapped.

Red Velvet cursed.
He scratched at the new barricade.

Licorice was looking around for what had made that happen. As he looked around, he saw the shine of a sword.

A purple sword, which was very long.

"Hey Red Velvet... why is there a sword in here?" Licorice asked.

Red Velvet went pale.

"A sword?! Why didn't you say that earlier?!" Red Velvet growled.

He began to scratch harder at the barrier.

"It's no use. It will not budge."

Red Velvet looked up.

"Who the HELL said that?!" Red Velvet called out.

A figure walked out from the darkness of the room.

It was Dark Cacao.
The king of the Cacao kingdom.

Licorice almost let out a scream in fear.
He backed against the wall.

"You two. You two have helped to ruin the 5 kingdoms."Dark Cacao began.

"We didn't exactly do that..." Licorice mumbled.

"You helped Dark Enchantress. You won't make this any better by lying. I already know the crimes you have committed." Dark Cacao growled.

Red Velvet stopped trying at the barricades.
He grabbed Licorice by his robes and moved themselves away from the area where Dark Cacao was standing.

"Do you think running will save you? It will only prolong the inevitable." Dark Cacao stared at them coldly.

He picked up his sword and slashed.
Red Velvet tried to parry, but his blade shattered into pieces.

"Don't try to run." Dark Cacao walked towards them, sword in hand.

He slashed again.

It cut into Licorice's thin body.
Licorice gasped in agony as the burning feeling hit the spot.

"Do you think your done here?" Dark Cacao laughed at the cookie.

"Why are you doing this to us? All creatures have a right to exist. Licorice is one of them!" Red Velvet grabbed Licorice's robes again and pulled on him.

Licorice tried to move his hand to Red Velvet's.

He clenched it in fear.

Red Velvet kissed him on the forehead in the best attempt of comfort.

"What shall you do to us?! Kill us?" Red Velvet growled.

"I'll give you a fate worse then that, but first," Dark Cacao started.

He slashed at Red Velvet.

It slid against his chest, leaving a slash across it.

He screamed.

"NO! RED VELVET! NO! Don't leave ME! STAY! STAY!" Licorice's legs collapsed as he fell to Red Velvet's side.

Another slash.

They felt hot pains of magic and blood.

Tears fell down their faces.
Neither of them had the energy to move or fight.

"...I'm so sorry..." Red Velvet muttered.

Another slash.

The pain was getting more intense.
Licorice laid down on his stomach and curled up. Red Velvet held him.

Death awaited.

Or did it?

Another slash.

Pain.
More pain.

Licorice was sobbing at this point.
Jam soaked their clothes.
Did it matter that it was theirs?
It did.

Dark Cacao walked up to them.
He forced the two on their legs and let go.

They couldn't stand for a minute before falling into each other.

Licorice was covering his face with his hands.
Red Velvet was not responding much anymore.
His eyes just stared at Licorice.

They were crumbling.

Dark Cacao grabbed both of them.

They hung lose as he pulled them near the strings.

He tied their bodies together with the strings.
They were tight and painful.

Their heads sagged down as they went limp.
But they could feel every bit of pain possible.

They lost everything.

All because of one small mistake.

"Enjoy." Dark Cacao laughed at them as he walked off, looking for the next kill.

Their bodies held onto each other.

They kissed one last time before both of them couldn't move anything.

At least they were together in the end.
