Custard ran into the Pure Vanilla Castle doors excitedly.
He had heard that there were some new changes in the palace,
And new cookies.
Gingerbrave and the others were behind him.
They tried to catch up to him.
Custard was too excited to care.
He really wanted to see his adopted Dad, Pure Vanilla.
"Wait up, Custard!" Gingerbrave yelled to Custard.
"There is no time to wait!! I want to go now!!" Custard yelled back.
Custard opened the doors to the castle and ran in, only to be stopped by Chili Pepper.
"Hey! Slow down!" Chili Pepper stopped him by grabbing his cape.
"Hey!! Let gooooo!!" Custard whined.
"You have to wait for us! Please!" Gingerbrave caught up.
"I just wanted to get back!" Custard said.
"W-Why were you r-running anyway?" Strawberry caught up as well.
"It better be important since you were in such a rush." Wizard scoffed.
"I just wanted to see Pure Vanilla again!! Let your king down!!" Custard began to squirm.
Pure Vanilla walked to them.
He saw Custard and the others.
"Yes, do let him down." Pure Vanilla said.
"Fine, fine..." Chili Pepper placed Custard down.
Custard, in an instant, bolted to Pure Vanilla.
He was very excited.
"Hello, Custard." Pure Vanilla said calmly.
"Hey Dad!! I heard some new cookies would be here!! Can we meet them? Now?? Please??" Custard jumped around happily.
"Oh, Custard, our guests are settling in right now. I think you should wait." Pure Vanilla looked at him.
"But I wanna see them now!!" Custard whined in minor annoyance.
"We can go see the changes to our palace now instead. They may take a while to settle down." Pure Vanilla said.
"Okay.." Custard nodded.
Pure Vanilla walked back inside.
Custard quickly followed him.
Pure Vanilla showed around the palace to Custard.
The Palace had been restored almost completely to its former glory.
It was brightly lit up with the sun's rays of sunshine.
There was the scent of food wafting through the air, as well.
There were no longer any signs of Dark Enchantress or any of her lackeys inside the castle.
"Woah... This place is beautiful!" Custard gasped.
"It is. I am glad with the work that has been done on it." Pure Vanilla said.
The two cookies continued to walk around together.
Custard was admiring the palace's shining details.
Pure Vanilla noticed Hollyberry walking near him and Custard.
"Well! I'd be baked! Hello Pure Vanilla!" Hollyberry smiled.
"Hello Hollyberry!" Pure Vanilla greeted Hollyberry.
"Who's that cookie with you? Your son?" Hollyberry looked at Custard.
"Yes. He is my son." Pure Vanilla answered Hollyberry.
"Ah! An heir to the throne! It is good to meet you! What is your name?" Hollyberry looked down at Custard.
"My name is Custard the 3rd!" Custard greeted Hollyberry.
"I believe you already know my name!" Hollyberry nodded to him.
"I do!" Custard smiled.
"Good!" Hollyberry smiled.
"Alright. I assume you have already unpacked." Pure Vanilla said.
"Yes!" Hollyberry nodded again.
"Wonderful!" Pure Vanilla said.
"We do have no missions today, yes?" Hollyberry asked.
"We do not." Pure Vanilla answered.
Custard was happy about it.
He was pretty hungry.
"Well then! Together, we can have a celebratory dinner!" Hollyberry smiled.
"Yay!!" Custard said in excitement.
"When?" Pure Vanilla asked.
"Tonight! I'll get things started!" Hollyberry said.
"Wonderful! Thank you, Hollyberry." Pure Vanilla smiled.
"Hah! It's expected at this point." Hollyberry smiled back.
Hollyberry walked off.
Pure Vanilla looked back at Custard.
"Who else is here??" Custard asked excitedly.
"Dark Cacao cookie. He should be finished soon." Pure Vanilla said.
"Wow!!" Custard gasped.
"Yes, indeed. I have been looking forward to seeing him." Pure Vanilla said.
"Oh! Okay!!" Custard said.
"But now, we do have some time to wait, do you want to see some more of the palace?" Pure Vanilla asked.
"Yeah!! Let's go!! Now!!" Custard said.
"Alright." Pure Vanilla said.
Pure Vanilla did show Custard more of the palace.
Custard was very happy about being able to live in such a grand castle, instead of a shack.
When it became night, the two healers ate dinner together with the others.
Custard was very happy about having a dad again.
