Part 7 - A New Face

Kyle leaves the convention, eyes heavy and the buzz now worn off as he stumbles to his car

(Ibuki)"Got any plans for today?"

(Kyle)"No. You are too energetic, I'm exhausted, and an awful headache is forming"

(Ibuki)"Makes sense. Lotta stuff happened tonight"

(Kyle)"Yeah. See you tonight then"

He says with a wave as she waves goodbye as well, Kyle driving home and getting to his door in a half conscious shuffle

(Kyle)"Ugh, these last few days I feel like i've had no sleep"

(?)"Probably because you have had very little"

A voice says inside Kyle's head, Kyle's face showing his confusion

(Kyle)"What? Who was that?"

He says, looking around the room as the voice stays silent this time

(Kyle)"I'm too tired for this shit. Please just let me sleep first then we can talk"

He says out loud, dropping onto bed with his phone on the stand next to him as he falls asleep immediately

Just as quick as he was asleep, he felt like he was woken up by the ring of his phone right next to his ear, his hand reaching over and answering it instinctually

(Kyle)"Hello?"

(Mairusu)"Hey there Kyle! I was hoping you could come pick up Silver and.... Blue? Blue. We had a great talk, but they don't have a spot to stay here yet and while they are nice and shiny I need time to plan stuff out for them."

(Kyle)"I'll be right ovr ther"

He says with a tired slur as he yawns

(Mairusu)"Perfect. See you in a few then."

(Kyle)"Yup. Goodbye"

He says, hanging up and setting the phone down with a sigh

(Kyle)"Damnit. This is annoying, I was sleeping so well"

He says, throwing the covers off and grabbing his keys and a set of clothes

(Kyle)"Let's just get this done quick so I can get back to sleep"

Kyle leaves the apartment and starts driving towards the convention, the lack of traffic making his trip a bit nicer

He sees the club and parks out front, walking in and towards Mairusu's office immediately

He steps into the office to see Blue and Silver sitting in the two chairs in front of the desk as Mairusu gives a smile

(Mairusu)"Hello Kyle! Sorry to call on such short notice. Were you asleep when I called?"

(Kyle)"Nope was just out curing cancer. Alright I'm here now, let's go"

He says as he waves over Blue and Silver, their fresh new looks making them look much nicer

(Blue)"Hey there Indiana Jones, glad you weren't too busy exploring whatever abandoned building you were probably in to come get us"

(Kyle)"Yeah, let's just go so I can keep sleeping"

(Mairusu)"Oh and before you go, Great job with Danika. I was thinking of adding someone like her and well, this is exactly what I had in mind!"

(Kyle)"Perfect. Glad you like her. I'll be heading out now"
