Part 35 - Just Another Quiet Night

Kyle opens up his eyes and gives them a quick rub. He swings his leg out from the bed, slipping his prosthetic on and walking out into the kitchen for some food. After grabbing something from the fridge Kyle turns around and meets the gaze of a guy he hasn't met before

(Kyle)"Afternoon."

(?)"Uhhh, hi?"

(Kyle)"You Issac?"

(Issac)"How- Oh- Uh, yeah."

He says as Mario shuffles out sleepily

(Mario)"Oh hey Kyle. I had a good date a little bit ago."

(Kyle)"Well, I hoped you did because otherwise, this guy just broke in"

He says as Mario and Issac both give a small smile and look at each other

(Kyle)"Whelp. I'm glad you guys didn't wake me up at least, though I imagine that most the fun was done a little bit ago?"

He says as the two go red

(Mario)"It wasn't that sort of- ah forget it."

(Issac)"I sure won't."

(Mario)"Don't say that!"

(Kyle)"The girls are going to be stoked to hear about this you know. My guess is you'll be spending your next night there just chatting away now."

Kyle says as Issac looks between the two of you, confused

(Kyle)"'Fuck."'

(Mario)"He works as a night security guard at the dayclub a little while from here. Frederina's."

(Issac)"Oh, nice. Yeah I've seen a few things about that place. It's got like....robots right?"

(Kyle)"Yeah it's a nice enough spot. Got a couple girls there that Mario will sometimes tag along with me to chat to after hours."

(Issac)"I mean, what else would you do working nights like that? Sitting in a building for 8 hours every night with nobody but goofy robots standing around would be boring."

(Kyle)"Yup! I mean, I basically pass out anytime I'm there. Just so bored you know?"

You say, Mario giving you a subtle side-eye

(Issac)"Well, This guy will just have to introduce me to his friends sometime. As for me though, I've got a shift starting soon. See ya babe."

He says, getting a few things around before leaving, Mario exhaling loudly

(Kyle)"So nice work there man. Seems you've got yourself a keeper, and he doesn't ask too many questions."

(Mario)"Yeah. Thank goodness he didn't pick up on your not-so-subtle hints. I don't want to deal with explaining magic, horny robots right now. It's way too early."

He says, Kyle patting him in the shoulder

(Kyle)"Don't worry about it. I'm sure he won't give it too much thought"

(Mario)"Yeah right, it's as soon as you say that that he'd look into it a Lot"

(Kyle)"Well, now you're just making Me worry."

Mario shrugs as he looks down at Kyle's leg

(Mario)"You seem to be adjusting well now"

(Kyle)"Yeah, this thing is pretty handy. You can thank BB for making it"
