Shattered

Oasis

"Hey." A sweet voice whispers.

I look up and am met with a chin. With a few hairs under it. A handsome Greek God like face stares down at me with a smile.

"Hi." I tell him.

The I feel it, my body is flush against his, on my bed. His chest is bare but his lower half is clothed. I'm in a shirt but i can still feel my bra and panties. But that's not what I feel. I feel his manhood right under my thigh.

"What time is it?" I ask.

He looks sideways before he rubs his eyes then he speaks again.

"Its 5 in the morning." He says.

I mentally make a note to myself that I'll wake up at six.

My eyes are half closed when I yawn again. He smiles at me so adoringly .

"Go back to sleep. " he says then kisses my temple.

I feel so safe in his embrace. For a while I just sit and listen to his heart beat. It soothes any worries I have ever had.

And the next thing I know , I'm awoken by the sweet smell of bacon. With my eyes closed I walk into the kitchen, surprised that I've actually made it with my eyes closed, I smile.

But I smile also at the alluring view before me. Jeremy is shirtless and trying bacon.  There's a little bounce that matches his humming. I cant put a finger on what exactly it is he's humming, but it's a peppy tune.

"Good morning princess." He says when he spots me. The boyish smile that spread through his face fastens my heartbeat.

"Morning." I tell him. His smile is extremely contagious,  I find myself spreading one too.

"So?" He asks me.

"So?" I ask him too, unaware of what he wants me to say.

"What are you doing this week?" He asks.

"Going to school?" I ask him.

"Going to school? Genny it's our one week break because this Tuesday its Christmas and Monday it's new years eve." He reminds.

I nod. Then I remember,  I barely have gifts for my parents or Ally.

"Oh, we could go shopping." I offer. He doesnt look to keen, but he nods his head anyway.

"Freshen up, I'll pick you up at 9." He simply says. He drops a peck on my forehead and then walks out of the mini apartment .

I eat the well fried bacon and then head to shower. As I'm combing out my hair, the door opens and I hear giggling.

Ally and Colt .

"Gemmie?" She calls from the door.

"In here!" I yell from my room.

I hear her footsteps approach. She walks in and drops a happy embrace onto my shoulders.

"Hey." She says sitting at the edge of my bed.

"Hi" I say, pulling my hair into a messy bun.

"How are you?" She asks. Sighing out loud.

"I'm okay, how are you?" I ask her with a smile .

"I'm good. Mom says you and Alyster had a minor disagreement. I just wanted you to know that you shouldn't stress too much, it'll lead you to biting my brother's head off. I know how annoying he can be. "She says.

Wow this family really does talk about everything with each other. But Alice didnt tell her the full story, unless she didnt hear the full story.

I just nod, knowing that Allyson knows when I'm lying and will most probably see through me if I try to say anything.

"Going somewhere?" She asks.

"Actually yes, I'm going shopping." I say peppier than I've ever been during this conversation.

"Oh, and are you going with anyone special. " she asks, toying around with my toiletry bag.

"I dont want to fight again, so it's better if I dont tell you." I say and her face falls.

"Look, I know I dont like Jeremy. But for you, I'll try to be nice. For you." I smile at her words.

"You mean it?" I ask.

"If you like him that much then yes." She says.

"What do you mean if I like him that much? Who says I like him?" I ask. Her smile reaches her eyes as she speaks.

"Oh, girl I see the way you look at each other." She says and the same time someone knocks on the there. Colt opens it I assume and they do a bro greeting from what I can hear.

"Babe, someone wants Gemma!" He yells from the mini great room.

"That would be for you." She says.

"And you look gorgeous. " she says kissing my cheek.

I smile at her. In my grey sweat pan shorts, a white tank top and white sneakers. I run out of my room.

"Hey Gemma." Colt greets from the couch.

"Sup Colt?" I ask him. He nods my way.

"You two kids enjoy yourselves." Ally says.

"We will." I say.

Jeremy looks so uncomfortable as he is shrunken on the barstool.

"Let's go." I whisper at him.

I dont miss the way Ally smiles when she sees him drop a kiss  on my temple.

"You look amazing." He whispers as he entangles our hands and walks us out of the mini apartment.

The drive to the mall is filled with mindless chatter, I'm mindful not to talk about last night. It's best the both of them dont know about each other.

He drops his hand on my thigh and hums along to a song by Arctic Monkeys.

He finds parking near the entrance -thankfully - and we walk hand in hand into the malls.

We start at the home department stores . Where I find a blender for my mom. She complained that hers is wrecked. I know she'd love a new one. And it's in her favourite colour, red.

Then as we're walking around in the clothing store, I find socks with the words "world's best dad" and nearing the counter I find a mug with the same words.

I found a necklace for Ally, with a pendant and the words "bestfriends forever" engraved onto it. How convenient right? And I have the perfect picture to fit inside it.

Soon we're at a restaurant.

A waitress about my age or a bit older , with a shirt revealing her breast walks to us. Her eyes are glued onto Jeremy. But his are glued to mine.

"What can I get for you?" She asks.

"Can I get a double cherse burger? With extra cheese and a large cappuccino." I tell her. She scribbles it.

She dips her breast infront of Jeremy's face and he looks almost upset. This face...

It's the one I saw when I first met him. His angered face.

" Move." Is all he says to her. She does. His voice sends chills down my back.

"I'll get whatever she ordered. Now leave." He says with a cold tone.

He doesnt say anything the entire time, he just watches me eat.

And when we leave, I swing his tense arm over my shoulders . I feel him relax. It's my turn to be his oasis.
