While we're making our way down the curvy path to Rivendell it gets somewhat harder to have good footing. At one point Fili looses his footing and almost falls off the path, but I quickly grab his wrist gently pulling him towards me to keep him on the path.

"Thank you Brynn." He says with a small smile even though his eyes are still a little widen with fear.

"You're welcome Fili." I smile kindly at him.

We continue our way down until we get to the bridge that leads straight into Rivendell which means safety and comfort to me. Smiling I walk next to Bilbo who's in awe of how beautiful it is.

"I've heard about how beautiful Rivendell is, but to actually experience it in person is way better." Bilbo says to himself, but of course of my heighten senses I heard him.

"Imladris is a place of safety, rest, and comfort. All who enter will feel it." I smile down at Bilbo.

He smiles back and leans close to me as he takes in the giant elven statues as we enter Imladris. "Mithrandir." A voice says that I was worried I may not hear again.

"Ah, Lindir." Gandalf smiles at the brown haired elf walking down the stairs.

I see Thorin lean over to Dwalin whispering something to him, but since I'm not fully paying attention I didn't catch what he said. Smiling softly I look over to who I've been wanting to see since I've left this place. "Lindir!" I shout making my way through the dwarves.

"Lady Brynn!" He smiles back as I finally reach him, embracing him in a hug which I've missed so much. "I'm so glad to see you again." He whispers.

"Me too Lindir." I smile up at him and he smiles down as we hug each other once more which feels amazing to be in Lindir's arms again.

"I must speak with Lord Elrond." Gandalf says.

"My Lord Elrond is not here." Lindir says as he pulls away from our hug to look at Gandalf.

"Not here? Where is he?"

Lindir goes to answer, but loud Elven war horns stop him from answering. We all look in the direction of the horn blowing to see the returning of elves on their horses.

"Close ranks!" Thorin shouts as his company.

Bofur and Oin grab Bilbo pulling him inside their little dwarf circle as to protect him? I'm not really sure. The horses start circling the dwarves over and over again while Lindir grabs my hand gently pulling me out of the horses away and close to his body.

"Gandalf!" Lord Elrond says looking over at Gandalf from his horse.

"Lord Elrond." Gandalf nods back at Elrond.

They start speaking to each other in Elvish and the dwarves and Bilbo don't understand, so they just stand there awkwardly.

"Mellonnen! Mo evínedh?" (My friend! Where have you been?) Gandalf asks in Elvish.

"Farannem 'lamhoth i udul o charad. Dagannem rim na Iant Vedui." (We've been hunting a pack of Orcs that came up from the South. We slew a number near the Hidden Pass.) Elrond explains in Elvish as he gets off his horse and gives Gandalf a hug. "Strange for orcs to come so close to our borders. Something or someone has drawn them near." He says in English handing Lindir the Orc's sword.

"That must have been us." Gandalf smiles slightly while Thorin shows himself to Lord Elrond.

"Welcome, Thorin, son of Thrain." Lord Elrond says welcoming him to Rivendell.

"I do not believe we met." Thorin says looking up at Lord Elrond.

"You have your grandfather's bearing. I knew Thror when he ruled Under the Mountain." He says nodding at Thorin.

"Indeed? He made no mention of you." Thorin says growling the last few words.

Lord Elrond stays quiet staring at him before averting his eyes to Lindir and smiles when he sees me. Lord Elrond walks over to us and bows slightly. "Lady Brynn, I'm very glad to see you here."

"Thank you, Lord Elrond. As am I." I bow slightly as-well with a small smile gracing my lips.

"Welcome back, I'm truly sorry for missing you last time you were here." He smiles.

"Thank you for always letting me stay here when I need it."

He smiles and gives me a hug which I gladly hug back. "You are always welcomed here, Lady Brynn."

"I very much appreciate it." I smile when we pull away from the hug.

Lord Elrond looks back at the dwarves and starts speaking Elvish to them which makes the dwarves angry as they do not understand what he's saying. Feeling eyes on me I look over to see Kili staring at me before looking away seeing that he got caught.

"What is he saying? Does he offer us insult?" Gloin asks angrily.

"No Master Gloin, he's offering you food." Gandalf sighs slightly at the dwarves.

Lindir sighs in slight annoyance which makes me laughs quietly to myself. The dwarves look at Lord Elrond before turning into their circle whispering amongst each other about his offer. Lindir and I share a look and he shakes his head looking back towards Lord Elrond.

"Well, in that case, lead on." Gloin says.

Elrond looks over at Lindir asking him in Elvish to have the elves prepare food for tonight's dinner and get the dwarves a room to stay in. "Yes my Lord Elrond." Lindir says bowing before walking the upstairs.

"I'll come with." I smile and walk up the stairs to where Lindir has stopped waiting for me.

Lindir smiles at me as I make my way up the stairs to where he is. Holding his hand out I gladly take it as he helps me up the stair to where he is standing at. Smiling we walk up the rest of the stairs hand in hand to go to the kitchen to give them the orders of Lord Elrond.
