Chapter 17

"Would you like to accompany me for a walk?" Lindir asks standing next to me.

"I would love that Lindir." I smile as I grab his outstretched hand.

Linking our fingers together he squeezes my hand gently as he helps me out of the chair, so we can go on a walk before it gets dark. Leaving the dwarves to clean up the mess they made. Kili watches Lindir and I leave while he continues to clean up the food off the floor. Walking through Imladris's beautiful halls I lean against Lindir while he caresses my knuckle. Humming softly I miss these walks with Lindir when I was here. "I've really missed this." I whisper.

He chuckles giving my hand a gentle squeeze. "So have I, it's been a little strange not having you here."

Nodding I look up at him with a smile. "Yeah? I mean how long have I been staying here?"

He looks down at me smiling. "It would have been half a year."

"That long since I left home?" I whisper more to myself not realizing how long it's been.

"Yeah, it's been six months since you arrived at Rivendell."

"Wow, I didn't realize." I sigh slightly missing home a little bit.

"You miss home don't you?" He whispers looking down at me.

Nodding I look back at him when I realize I was looking at the ground. "I do, but I'm worried to go back, Lindir."

He lets go of my hand and wraps his arms around my waist pulling me into a tight hug kissing my head gently. "He's your father Brynn, I'm sure he misses you and wants his only daughter back."

Nodding into his chest I take a deep breath trying to control my emotions. "What if he doesn't? What if he doesn't ever want to see me again because I ran away?" I whisper my voice cracking slightly. "What if I get banished?"

"Brynn." He says softly lifting my chin up gently. "You're going off of what ifs that you don't even know that are true." He whispers.

"I know, Lindir, I know." I whisper.

He stares at me with his kind eyes and cups my cheek caressing it gently. Smiling softly I  press a soft kiss to his cheek. He smiles when he feels my lips against his skin and holds me closer to his body. Smiling against his cheek I nuzzle my nose against his jaw as he rubs my back soothingly. Resting my head back against his chest Lindir runs his fingers through my hair as he sways back and forth which starts putting me in a lull. Yawning into his chest I feel tired all of a sudden probably because I haven't been sleeping right....well I've barely been sleeping.

"Tired?" Lindir whispers.

"Yeah." I whisper while nodding into his chest yawning once more as my eyes shut knowing I'm about to sleep.

"Why don't you sleep with me in my chambers tonight?" He suggests looking down at me with a smile.

"You sure?" I yawn.

"Yes." He smiles as he pulls away leading me to his private chambers again.

"Thank you Lindir."

"You're welcome."

Coming to the bedroom door he opens it for me just like he did earlier and I smile. Thanking him I enter his room that I was in an hour or two ago. He nods and shuts his door and goes to the dresser to get some night clothes for himself. While Lindir is in the bathroom I go to his bed and lay down in it feeling my body relax. Closing my eyes I wrap myself up in the soft blankets letting sleep take over my body. Feeling the bed dip I know Lindir is getting into bed and I kinda feel bad as I took all his blankets from him. He chuckles as he sees me in all his blankets. "Comfy are we?" He asks.

"Yes." I mumble within the blankets.

"Would you be willing to give me some blankets? So I don't freeze to death?"

"I guess." I say as I unwrap myself from all his blankets.

He chuckles even more as I give him some of the blankets to him. "Thank you." He says pulling some of the blankets over to his body.

"You're welcome." I say rolling on my side to look at him.

He smiles softly as he pushes my blonde hair out of my face tucking it behind my ear. Smiling back I rest my head on his chest and place my arm over his waist while he wraps his arm around me holding me close. Humming softly I close my eyes feeling the warmth of his body against mine. "You should leave your hair down during the day." I mumble against his chest.

"Oh really?" He asks rubbing my back gently.

"Yes, it looks very nice when it's down and unbraided." I say through a yawn.

He smiles resting his chin on top of my head gently while he wraps his other arm around me and kisses my head softly. "Thank you."

Nodding slowly my breathing slows down as sleep is starting to take over my body. "Goodnight Lindir." I whisper.

"Goodnight Brynn." He whispers back keeping me close to his body.

(Next Day)

Opening my eyes the sunlight is directly in my vision making me wince slightly to keep some of it out. Groaning quietly I close my eyes again feeling arms tighten around my waist and gentle breathing against my neck. Smiling softly I place my hand on Lindir's arm caressing it gently with my thumb. Lindir hums softly as he shifts behind me and pulls me against his chest gently. "Good morning." He mumbles into my neck.

"Good morning." I smile.

Lindir removes his face from my neck as I shift in his arm, so I can face him. He smiles down at me while I smile up at him. "How did you sleep?" He asks pushing my blonde hair back.

"I slept wonderful, felt good to actually get some sleep after the last few days of not."

He smiles and presses a soft tender kiss to my forehead. "I'm glad to hear it."

"How about you? How did you sleep?" I ask looking into his eyes.

"I slept peacefully."

"Good." I smile as I cover my mouth while yawning. "Probably should get ready for the day." I yawn sitting up and pushing my hair back.

He nods and rolls onto his back stretching his arms over his head. "Or we can stay in bed a little longer as I don't have to be at Lord Elrond's service until after breakfast." He says snaking his arm around my waist and pulling me back down into his body.

Smiling softly I shift my body so I'm laying on my side with my head resting against his chest while my arm drapes over his waist getting comfy. "We can do that."

Humming quietly I feel Lindir running his fingers through my hair as I listen to his steady heartbeat. "Thank you for letting me sleep here last night. I really appreciate it."

"You're welcome, you're always welcome to sleep here." He smiles kissing my head gently.

I figured it's time for less chaos and have some sweeter moments!! And of course it's between Lindir and Brynn, I swear they are so cute together! I love how Lindir is so caring for her in so many ways always making sure she's doing okay!! Please comment and vote!!
