Darren and I were patiently waiting inside the gymnasium. For some reason, they moved the basketball registration area here. The activity today didn't stop, despite what happened earlier. Sebastian was called out to the guidance office and Oliver was nowhere to be seen. Maybe he was there too, to support his asshole brother. I looked everywhere and I spotted a familiar face sitting on the registration table. As far as I remember, their names are Kane and Justin. It all makes sense. That's why they said those words because they knew Sebastian. Still, they could at least do something.

"How long are we going to wait here?" Darren asked, frustratedly.

"I don't know. Maybe when Oliver and Sebastian come back. It's still 9:24." I said, staring at my phone.

"The more I wait, the more I get nervous."

"Then don't be. I'm sure we can make it." I said.

"You think so? After what happened to you and Sebastian?" Argh, why does he have to remind me of that?

"Of course, he's not the one to decide who will get passed and who will not get passed." I confidently said. That's why there is a couch.

"You're right. By the way, did you find your friend?" He asked. Shit! I forgot Reggie! I looked around, hoping to see him here, and damned, I didn't fail. He's sitting alone on the other side of the gym with his bag on his lap.

"Reggie!" I shouted, earning some attention from the people inside.

"What the fuck, bruh! Have some little shame!" Darren pulled me down to sit while hiding his head on my body. Oh, come on, people are already yelling at each other here, so what's the difference between what I did and what they're doing? I looked at Reggie but still, he didn't hear me. That's what I'm talking about here. I was about to stand up and shout again when Darren stopped me.

"Just approach him, Ryan."

"No way. I'm not going in there." I said, sternly.

"Then don't shout." Ugh! I can't lose someone like Reggie. Look at his body. He's very well built. He can punch anyone who's trying to hurt me, including Sebastian. Do I sound selfish or user? Nah, I want to make friends with him too. Taking advantage or not.

"Fine." I stood up and made my way to Reggie, who was now looking at his cellphone.

"Reggie." I called him.

"Fuck!" He cursed as he held his phone to his chest.

"Are you trying to kill me?!" He hissed. I forced myself not to laugh at his reaction. Dude, the poor guy looks like his soul left his body for a second.

"I was calling you and you're just busy with your phone."

"Well, I didn't hear you. God, I saw my ancestors for a second."

"Sorry dude." I apologized as i sat on his side. I looked at Darren and he was looking at me now with a glare. I just smirked and signed him to come. There's no way that I'm going back there.

"I was looking for you. Where did you go, man?" He said, with a complaint in his voice.

"Bruh, don't blame me for walking away without asking what department I'm in. I was about to tell you but you just ran off."

"Not just the department but also the registration area. I waited here for 20 minutes." I feel like a guilty boyfriend listening to my girlfriend sulking and questioning our relationship.

"Sup." Darren intervened.

"Who's this guy?" Reggie asked curiously.

"That's Darren, the one I'm talking to." Darren is standing in front of us, holding both hands on his chest.
