1) Why did the Authors choose the animals they did?
Wild: My favorite animal is the Tiger. However, Rex is my choice because I have an brown tiger figurine that is named King.
Asteriod: Because Bat Ear Foxes are cute.
Rider: I really like cheetahs and foxes. I chose Kadupul to be a fox because why not.
Drake: Mendax was actually a fan chosen animal (shout out to Hound) and Rider. However, Drake does really like tigers.
Raptona: I choose Swamp because he is funky looking
2) What is the timeline of the island?
The island of Pantera Regina is like a time vacuum. Its time is much slower than ours. For instance, a week of our mainland (universe or timeline) is but one day on the island.
However, if you wish to know our year verse there the year it will be 200022.
3) Would mainlanders be a problem in the future? Have they searched for Mason and his crew?
Yes and no. We might have the mainlanders to be a future problem but are unsure at the moment. We like to see where the story takes us.
And yes, people have tried to search for Mason and his crew but the storms never let them enter. Many people on the mainland believed that the ship is somewhere underwater.
4) Where is Panthera Regina located on the map?
Near Antarctica but since it's hidden from the sky. No one knows it's existed. Only the Great Beast and birds from the island can see the island.
Also, any sea animals can also see the island and if a land animal somehow gets off the island would be able to see the island too. Even on maps.
The idea is that natives to the island have their eyes enchanted from being surrounded by magic for so long. So, even normal animals do have some form of basic magic.
5) What's with the ages of the animals?
Real answer: It would be easier to think of how old the animal is than in animal years. However, many of the animals of age 15 or 16 are nearly adult size. Plus, it will be sad to think that Cursor adopted mother will only live for 5 more years after she adopted her.
Story answer: It used to be Angel's job to slow down time but after a while, the island had absorbed some of that ability and is now helping slow down downtime.
1 out of 100 Angels is born with the ability to must with time. However, it's very difficult to control and master.
6) What are the Stars of Fate (Snow)?
It's a system of Stars that was created by Snow. It shifts every couple of years to choose the next ruler.
However, if the current ruler is no longer worthy then the shift will occur sooner.
7) What are the other jobs of Panthera Regina?
The list is done by rank.
Rulers- Are King or Queen of the island. They are in charge of the island as a whole. Their bloodline consists of dragons and Phoenix.
Leaders- Are in charge of managing each tribe or species to help the Rulers maintain order. They are sometimes called king/queen, Emperor/empress, prince/princess, duke/duchess, chief, etc. Depending on the culture.
Advisor- Have many functions as they help rulers and leaders with everything such as babysitting, teaching, guiding, being a friend (voice of reason), etc. Note that advisors are given great respect and are one of a few that is allowed to speak back to rulers and leaders if they see fit.
Tutors- Include private and public which are generally are hired by leaders and rulers to teach their offspring. The general requirements are knowing a little bit of everything. Thus, are heavily demanded work.
Scribes- also included reading texts are just below the tutors. Anyone that can read is often seen as gifted while the Native people are generally hired to become scribes to record.
Teachers- Are for the middle and low ranks but are rarely taught only to one rank. The number of teachers in a tribe will differ.
Examples: Teachers are like Public school
Tutors can be extra help for teachers or tutoring for one rank.
Private Tutors - For elites. Like private schools but scholarships are given freely.
Healers- Are generally filled by Angels, Faires/pixies, and other creatures within the magical or spiritual strengths. Common folk (no magic) can become healers.
Guards- The most common and demanding job. They are normally found anywhere and sometimes Healers will fill the role as a guard if needed.
