POV: Feather, The Griffin

*Note: Depending on how you think about it. Panthera Regina's timeline fits along the line of how humans evolve. However, despite the years not fitting our timeline, it is for fun to think an island could exist like this.*

Among the battlefield of the Everlasting war lie a brown Griffinling with odd green ears and blood-red eyes. He was alone and abandoned. However, Physical Strengths young are hardy creatures and can survive if they can get food and avoid predators.

The Griffinling was very young, and the odds were against him. Without parents or a guardian, young do not survive their first year.

However, this little runt did it as if the Angels themselves were protecting the Griffinling.

A year had passed, and no one of his kind would take him in. This was due to a mutation in the coloring of his ears and eyes. Despite being brown, his green ears were a dead giveaway for hunting and staying hidden.

Great Beasts that are linked to Nature or Earth tend to color ranging from brown, gray, black, white, or tan. Any other color was considered an eyesore and a mistake.

The Griffinling was abandoned shortly after he was hatched. The parents disowned him because of a birth defect.

Fortunately, he could not remember his parents, but it did not matter as he walk the land.

The Griffinling learned quickly that humans were the most dangerous as they were the ones that would try to trick him. They would offer food and then try to capture him. Each time, he was able to escape.

Right before the Everlasting war started reaching its peak that the Angels called the Chaos bringer. The Griffinling was finally rewarded for him surviving.

The Griffinling was three and still could not speak or fly. However, he started to discover things that would allow him to thrive as he started listening and commanding the plants. The Griffinling was able to learn this by watching Great Beast from afar.

One day, the Griffinling got too careless and was caught.

A female Griffin was a light grey as if ash and snow mixed. Her pale blue eyes were like a lake that had never been touched by men. She watched the brown Griffinling in a kind way that the chick did not understand.

He froze, not knowing what to do. The Griffinling could not understand what the female was saying, but he knew from watching that a male is not too far behind.

"Honey, come look!!" The grey Griffin called out to her mate, startling the Griffinling to try to run. However, the female used the plants to make a little pen.

*Note: The Griffinling cannot understand any language at this point, but it would be too confusing if the readers did not.*

The ground rumbled as if it was angry and was failed attempt to fight to stand. However, the female for whatever reason created more plants to make the ground soft.

An odd-looking Griffin appeared in view. The pinkish sky made him stand out greatly. Her mate had yellow eyes like the sun and was completely white. That was not the strange part. His wings and tail did not match other Griffins.

This was the first record mix-breed on the mainland. Before this point in time, no one believed mix-breeds were possible, and it should not have been.

It would be discovered years later that a gift of an Angel was needed for mix-breeds to exist. However, it would only Snow would be able to give the gift after her passing. Her final gift of unity.

"I wondered where his parents are. Griffinlings are not normally alone outside the haven." The female spoke still watching the green ear Griffinling.

"Sweetie, I think he was abandoned." Her mate spoke in a kind voice.
