POV: Kadupul

Adamas described the cell to be about sixty feet by seventy feet, which would be considered very cramped to have ten or so animals in the same space. The cell was also just stone with an opening. However, there is a magical barrier to keep everyone in.

Apparently, the barrier allowed only Pureblood Great Beast to enter and exit the cell without a problem. The other creatures would get shocked whenever they tried.

The lioness explained that Crystallum and Catulus were the ones that mainly tried to escape.

*I guess whoever is in charge strongly believes that no pure blood would betray him or her.* Kadupul thought as she felt the stone floor beneath her paws. It felt very different from growing up in a burrow and from what Rex describes in his cave. This felt completely different. It was like the cave floor drew out the warmth of any creature's body.

"Okay, Adamas. Please tell me everything that happened?" The Darwin's Fox with milky white eyes questioned, not getting a scent of adult female tigress with a mixture of scents of other felines. "Where is your mother?" She added. The brown fox kept feeling around the cell and felt Currere close behind as she did.

"There was an attack from a Peregrine falcon, named Azure. She was meant to keep an eye on Rex...." Adamas's voice suddenly vanished as the hairs stand up on the end.

This must have been hard on all of them, but have to witness the attack. That is another thing. They were still trapped in the cell, and Kadupul couldn't find a possible exit besides the one that Currere and her went through. However, probably only the very youngest could fit through that small tunnel.

Kadupul growled and stopped walking around the cell. She made sure she stay close to the back wall. This eliminates the chance of being seen by one of the guards if there were any. The smell of the fox was hidden among all these felines' smells. Currere could be sniffed out, but the Griffinling could pretend she got lost.

The brown fox growled. Rex was the most in danger out of every Royal here, but why? Swamp had explained to her before they split up that Rex might be the real reason that Queen Roseis was still alive. It was a trap to lure the Prince out of hiding.

Kadupul turned to face the felines from a corner. She made sure that Currere was right next to her by feeling for her. The Griffinling helped by brushing her tail around her body."I'm here." The black bear Griffinling spoke as well.

Darwin's fox heartache as she thought of Rex and how he did the same thing. However, she couldn't worried about him.

"What is it about Rex that makes him such a target?" Kadupul said her thoughts out loud. The brown fox could sense the felines trading looks.

"Well, brother is talented in translating," Crystallum offered, her tone was more like trying to solve a riddle.

"Mother said he was born a Griffin," Carbunculus said after the white tigress.

Kadupul found it strange that the 'Gems' spoke after one another. However, it is way better than the Triplets, who will talk over one another. Strangely not Mel though. The Cheetah didn't speak much.

The Darwin's Fox thought it was strange that she already felt conformable enough with such fierce predators. That was probably because they had a similar smell to Rex. Her heartache again.

"Maybe it's something else," Currere said in a soft-spoken voice, which Kadupul thought it was funny. Whenever the Griffinling was with the group she was upbeat and excited, but she rarely spoke once they met with the Royal cubs.

"Wait, Ray would always say that brother had never had wings, and Griffin's wings generally reappeared at age three or four. She would have mentioned something to us." Feles, the young amur tigress suggested.
