POV: Swamp

Swamp and Currere had finally made their way back to the crowd of creatures, which was in a valley of green that seemed to be sheltered by the mountains and caves. However, the was now a massive opening to the little green valley. It was caused by the aftermath of the battle between the two Great Beasts.

The sky was still gray as storm clouds threaten the land with floods and fire. The grass was still dry, while the air started to become cold. This could only mean that Queen Roseis must be in great agony. A flash of Rex flashed through his mind being in pain or worst. Another flash of the Queen being forced to see her other cubs' death and couldn't do a thing.

Phoenixes have a great connection with the weather and with their unstable emotions. It was always led to great natural disasters. What was worst, was the royal Phoenixes as they were solely known to control the island's weather. Other Phoenixes could only influence the region or territory. At most, the most powerful non-royal Phoenix was only able to change the zone of a section of the island.

"Swampy?" Currere said in a concerned tone.

The Swamp Monster looked at the black griffinling. Her brown eyes were staring, and they didn't move as he spoke. "Currere, everything will be ok-a-y." Swamp said, slowly as Currere pointed in the direction. Swamp couldn't believe his eyes and stood moving forward as Currere ran straight to it.

Magic was flying all around the center of the valley of green. The sky appeared darker gray color as if the light was the one doing it. The magic was in the colors pink and yellow.

*They are trying to heal him.* Swamp thought and didn't realize what he was doing until he reach Rex, Currere, Kadupul, and Cursor. His legs acted on instinct without his will. It was as if... *Rex, you great fool. You have a true gift of touching and changing hearts.*Tears flowed down his cheek as he saw what happened to the Prince, his friend. Volatus had done more damage than he first thought. The neck was broken, almost being two parts. Blood was everywhere and noticed that the paws of Cursor and Kadupul were bloody.

The light disappeared. "Why isn't working?" Kadupul whined.

Swamp sighed but remained about two feet away.

Spiritual and Magical Strengths and abilities always made a good show. Physical Strengths tended to be more subtle as their powers rely on their bodies. We often burrow the power from the Earth to accomplish great feats. However, if the body is weak then our body can be destroyed.

The Spiritual Strengths and abilities come from using the power that is burrowed. They cannot give the power back to its source of origin. Their powers are not limited to the host, but the knowledge is. They take many years of mastering abilities because it takes a lot. When used incorrectly, the host can cause great harm to the life around it. Spiritual Strengths are all about balance.

The third Strength, Magical Strength the only power that comes from within. Their abilities are not often locked as many have great talent. There is one check though, they need are stronger connection with the elements. Many of them believed that elements are souls of the precious creatures that needed to be cared for.

Either way, all the Strengths required a balance to complete spells, make a connection to the elements, and used those abilities. It's the body, spirit, and knowledge.

That is the difference between the Elements of Nature and Light and why there is always a battle. Nature is chaos, while Light orders. They are needed for the balance which means...

Rex has to be dead if Light is unable to do a thing.
