Over the next few months, Izuku and Tanjiro trained under Sakonji Urokodaki. The first time Urokodaki had sword training with Izuku, within a second Izuku already had a blade to Urokodaki's throat. After this session, Urokodaki amped up the harshness of Izuku's training, and every time Izuku was still able to keep up. When Urokodaki talked about breathing styles, Izuku was able to do them only from descriptions. Urokodaki, surprised with Izuku's inhuman progress, brought him to a large boulder then hands him a katana
Urokodaki: This is the last of your training, you blasted through everything I can teach you, if you can slice this boulder, I will allow you to go to the final selection
Izuku: hmm
Izuku flips his sword around so he's holding it backward
Urokodaki: That's not how you hold a katana
Izuku: I'm trying a new technique. Water Breathing 2nd Form Improved: Water Wheel: Rushing Current!
Izuku then starts jumping tree from tree gaining momentum, until he becomes just a blur to Urokodaki, Izuku then jumps towards the boulder, creating an ark blade in his left hand and spinning himself and slicing the boulder in half
Izuku lands on the ground cracking it, the boulder then splits in half falling to each side, Izuku then looks at his katana, broken right down the middle, with the blade stabbed through Izuku's hand
Urokodaki:
Urokodaki: The blade is in your hand, we need to get you medical attention
Izuku: That won't be needed
Urokodaki: What?
Izuku then pulls out the blade from his hand letting the wound heal
Izuku: What do I do with the blade?
Urokodaki: I know you're not a demon from seeing you in the sun, but how are you able to heal that fast?
Izuku: The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be... unnatural
*take 2*
Izuku: I have been born with the abilities of a demon, like enhanced healing and physical capabilities despite not being a demon myself
Urokodaki: You are a very interesting person, a human with demon abilities, you're a remarkable kid, you'll be a great asset to the demon slayer corps. I never wanted to send anyone to the final selection anymore, I didn't want to see any more children die, but that's when I saw your abilities, I tried to make harder and harder training for you since you seemed like you've been breezing through the exercise I intended for you and Tanjiro. You were so much stronger than I imagined you to be. Tanjiro still seems to be struggling with some of the training, but I can see that he is improving. But, I think you are ready for the final selection, it doesn't start until one and a half years later though
after the 6 months of training, Izuku watched Tranjiro train, giving him some advice on using a sword, he watched over Nezuko whenever Urokodaki was out training Tanjiro, he also bought a new haori, one with a galaxy pattern.
