before i could have a say in what the fuck this guy just said to me, the little bell above the door was going off and he was gone.
my phone started buzzing on the counter top meaning my shift was over. i blindly reached to turn it off, my eyes glued to the door in front of me.
lukey.
no ones ever called me that except michael and someone else i can't put my finger too. i leaned back against the wall behind me, closing my eyes and pretending that two seconds ago never happened.
after spending an hour aimlessly walking around the store, i decided to lock it up and walk home. the weather decided it would be a good idea to start raining and i groaned, stuffing my hands deep into my pockets praying my phone won't get ruined.
as i turned the corner that entered my street, i stopped.
a dark black figure was climbing over my neighbors fence. my heart skipped a beat and i started running, knowing that this moment had been waiting to happen for so long.
i stopped in front of the tall wooden structure, grabbing onto the leg that still needed to get over and yanked it earning a loud yelp. i pulled as hard as i could, swear starting to drip down my forged and finally,
they crashed back down onto the pavement.
i grabbed a hold of their legs as they tried to stumble back to their feet and run.
"stop moving! just tell me who you are!" i growled, and all at once, they stopped. i looked down at them, their head tilted down to their chest and their eyes refusing to meet mine.
i slowly let go of their leg and they got up, wincing from the fall. it was dark outside so i couldn't see who they were, yet the eyebrow piercing caught my eye. "y-you're the one that called me lukey." i exclaimed. they nodded slowly.
i looked over at the wooden fence, thinking back to what happened a minute ago and everything clicked.
i know who my neighbor is now.
"what's your name?" i demanded, crossing my arms over my chest awaiting my answer. when he didn't say anything, i rolled my eyes and took out my phone. i quickly opened the notes app and handed it to him.
the small glow illuminated his face and i smiled to myself, because god, he looked so perfect. once my phone was handed back i looked down at the screen.
mgc
i looked up confused, blinking twice when i noticed he was gone. the sound of a door opening in closing from inside the fence grabbed my attention and i groaned.
who knows when the last time i'll see him again.
i walked over to my house satisfied though, knowing who my neighbor was and- well not their name. what does mgc stand for anyways?
i unlocked my front door, stepping inside and slipping my shoes off. i made my way into the kitchen and filled a glass up with water, knowing that i was behind on my pill schedule. i know i hated taking them, but apparently of i didn't i would be sent back.
i didn't want to live through that again.
however, i wanted to help those things that i hear, they sounded so sad an betrayed. was it me? i can't remember. i swallowed the two pills i was supposed to take and stripped down to my boxers, climbing into bed and pulling my comforter up to my neck.

"you mean you saw him?" ashton asked, rubbing at his stubble. calum sat beside him, the two's fingers intertwined.
