why is this story so long wtf

also, if you ever wonder why michael changes his hair so many colors it's because i can't remember what i last put it as

i'm so lazy

+

i woke up to someone i thought i would never wake up next to again.

michael's small stubble tickled my cheek as i looked up. his lips where parted as he slept quietly. i rubbed my tired eyes before turning over to lay on my back. the sunlight seeping through the blinds caught my attention.

how can the sun get over the nine foot fence?

i lazily got out of bed and caught my reflection in the full length mirror in front of me. my hair was flat against my head before i ruffled it and got up. i walked down the narrow hallway to the kitchen and pulled out a box of reese's puffs.

well, i never i could cook.

i dug through a few cupboards before pulling out two clean bowls and pouring an equal amount into each. i grabbed the milk from the fridge, adding that into the bowls before putting it back and finding the spoons.

"luke?" michael's voice called out and i smirked seeing his bed hair. he sat down on one of the bar stools and i placed the bowl in front of him. his eyes widened before shoving a spoonful of the chocolately cereal into his mouth. [that's not the only thing he wants in his mouth *coughs violently*]

i took a spoonful of my own cereal, watching the pale boy curiously. he downed the cereal in nearly three minutes and i cleaned up the dishes while he took a shower. moments later, michael stepped out with a towel around his waist and a smile on his face.

[fuck i'm turning into doctor seuss]

"do you want to go over to cashton's today?" i asked, michael's eyes only widended and i raised an eyebrow at him. "is something wrong?"

"n- no." he said. "you call it cashton too?"

i nodded and michael threw his head back. "the teased me about it all the time." he groaned and i laughed. i waved him off to get dress as i took out my phone to call calum.

he picked up almost instantly.

"h-"

"go outside."

calum dropped the call.

michael stepped out of the bedroom in black skinny jeans and a loose white sweater. "you're going outside in your boxers?" he chuckled but i ignored him and ran out the house.

i looked across the street seeing calum waving at me.

i turned around to see michael smirking at me. "y- you- when did you do this?" i asked, looking left to see my house. in fact, i looked all around the neighborhood, calum starting to walk over to me.

i watched as he stepped onto michael's lawn easily, pulling me into a quick hug. once he pulled away he looked down at my nearly naked body and laughed.

"michael do you mind getting luke some clothes?" calum asked and michael disappeared into the house, coming back out with some shorts and a tank top. i quickly put them on, a small blush coating my cheeks.

"w- when did you do this?" i asked, my bare feet messing with the grass under them.

"last night when you were asleep, after you said you loved me i thought i'd make you really believe it." the pale boy smiled and i jumped on him, englufing him into a hug.

"i love you you so much" i mumbled, wrapping my lanky legs tightly around him. calum cleared his throat behind us.

"i think we have some things to catch up on don't you think?"

"so you brought down an entire fence in one night?" i asked curiously, raising my eyebrow at the two boys in front of me.

"well no," calum said. "when i called ashton he said he was busy, and i did get mad at him but i found out it was for you and michael."

"i wanted to make it up to you." michael told me and i frowned.

i should be the one making it up to him, but that's when a small puzzle piece in my mind clicked. "well i haven't made it up to you yet, so watch out clifford. " i smirked, leaning back into michael's couch.

we talked for another hour until calum had to go home. michael moved from calum's side to mine, his head currently in my lap as i played with his hair. it was quiet, and both of us knew we wanted to keep it that way so we did. michael was more content with it because he was used to just not talking sometimes.

i felt the pale boy sigh, my fingers knotting themselves in his hair before tugging, earning a small moan. i smirked and did it again, recieving the same response.

"tomorrow." michael muttered, rolling off my lap and making me get up. "take me your house."

i rolled my eyes at his tiredness, and grabbed michael's hand, leading him outside. we walked straight to my house, which was weird for me because i felt the need to jump a fence. i walked up my front steps, opening the door seeing it was unlocked as usual and tugged michael inside.

he closed the door behind him and admired the place as i showed him around.

"and this is where i sleep alone and depressed every night." i smirked, seeing michael run over to my bed. yes, i did buy a bed over those two months. he moaned as he got comfortable under the covers.

"join me my kitten." he smiled, making grabby hands for me and i climbed in next to him. despite it only being six, i couldn't help but feel a little tired.

"remember when we used to have late night talks?" michael mumbled his arm wrapped securely around me. i nodded. "tell me everything."

"everything?" i asked quietly, to which michael nodded. "i told you this already though."

"you told me your nightmares," michael hummed. " so tell me your dreams."
