Kreese and I were at the meeting. I was back sitting and watching while he was in the front. When the man who was on the podium finished what he was saying the woman spoke.
"Okay... next we will hear appeals for the under 18- All Valley Karate Competition. Who would like to speak first?"
I saw Lawrence stand up, then Daniel, and then Kreese. Since Kreese was already in front he was able to speak first. "Ladies and gentlemen Im a retired army captain John Kreese." He started
"Thank you for your service" the woman said
"It was an honor to serve. And I continue to serve right here in our community, by teacher our children strength and discipline through karate. I was devastated to hear about the cancellation of the tournament. Because of the fight at the high school. Why my students are being penalized because of the violence perpetrated by... dojos like" he turned to Daniel "Miyagi-Do?"
"Now hold on a second" Daniel interrupted
"Mr LaRusso please. It's not your turn to speak." The woman said
"I apologize council-woman Roberts but-"
"Council-person Roberts" Kreese interrupted
"Thank you, captain Kreese" the woman smiled
Kreese nodded "I think my colleague here will agree that all we want is the best for our students and our community. Cobra Kais goal is to prepare the Valleys youth, for the unfortunate realities of the real world. It's hard out there. I'm just preparing the to defend themselves."
"I'm sorry council-person roberts but just a few weeks ago your students broke into an abandoned facility and injured a bunch of my students." Daniel but in.
"And who started that fight? If memory serves... your of of control daughter" Kreese grinned
"Hey!" Amanda exclaimed "you leave my daughter out of this you piece of sh*t!"
"Maam please restrain yourself" the woman said
"That's weird because, I had to file a restraining order on her for assaulting me." Kreese added
"Assault?!? Are you kidding me!" Ananda exclaimed
"Maybe I should call the police?" He asked
"That wont be necessary" the woman made s motion and a police escorted Amanda out. I quietly laughed to myself when I saw it.
Before I knew it the 3 senseis started arguing. Everyone was talking so I couldn't understand much. The woman banged her malet on the table. "ENOGH!" She exclaimed "sit down. All of you."
They sat "it is clear that this karate tournament is causing division and rivalry in our community. You gentlemen have made an excellent case why this tournament should not continue."
The 3 Senseis went quiet. So it really is over??
"WAIT" we heard someone exclaimed. Everyone turned to see that it was Miguel. People started to whisper and stare. I stared too. He slowly started to walk down the steps. He went up to the podium.
"My name is Miguel Diaz. I was in the school during the fight, I was stage one who got kicked down the second floor. You know uh... I thought I was going to be paralyzed. I relearned how to stand... I relearned how to walk... and I want the tournament to continue."
"Uh- we are very happy for your recovery young's man but I'm im afraid you don't understand-"
I turned towards Kreese giving him a look to ask if I can interfiere. He nodded his head and I stood up. "Yes he does..." I slowly started to walk up the stairs and stood next to Miguel. "I'm Y/N L/N and I was in that fight. The one who fell down the set of stairs. We were the ones who got hurt. We were the ones who fought! Our voices should matter the most!"
