"Cassandra, you must wake." A shaking feeling hit her. She let out a groan, "What could be the meaning of this Natalia?" Cassie opened her eyes, no light came in through the cabin, she sighed, "Light hasn't approached yet, go back to bed." Natalia only shook her harder, something was thrown on the bed, "You mustn't understand, the sun hasn't risen yet, we must go see it. Please sister." Cassie sat up, a dress laid out on the bed, "Now please get yourself up and come enjoy the sights of the morning with me." Cassie shot her sister a dirty look before pulling the covers off of her bed. Natalia began clapping, she grabbed her sisters arm and pulled her out of the bed.

It wasn't long before Cassie was dressed, they snuck through the village, at the very end of the town and towards the lake. When they arrived they were met with the Mikaelson siblings, Niklaus, Elijah, and Rebekah. "We started to worry you wouldn't make it." Rebekah grabbed Cassie's hand, pulling her towards the lake, "Do not fret, Natalia made sure I would be no other place this lovely morning." Natalia smirked, going over to talk to Elijah. He smiled and knelt down on one knee to talk to her. She was so full of life, a bright and loving little girl. Cassie smiled at the sight, Elijah and Klaus both so fixated on making her little sister smile. Rebekah led Cassie over to where her brothers were standing. Elijah took Cassie's hand, kissing it so lightly. She blushed, the feeling sent butterflies through her stomach.

"I'm so very glad you could make it my fair lady." She smiled, her eyes were locked on his, he pulled her in closer, looking down at her. "As am I." Natalia pulled on her dress, "Oh sister look!" The sun began to rise, the sky turned gorgeous shades of reds, oranges, and pinks. The group was in total awe, except for one. Klaus had his eyes locked on something else, he couldn't take his eyes off of her, no matter how pretty the sunrise was, she was prettier. Cassie broke her gaze with the sky and turned to look at Klaus, their eyes met, giving Cassie shivers. Instead of shying away, she gave him a smile. He smiled back, they both turned their heads towards the sky. Everything was bliss, the bright light, the rustling of the tree branches, the sound of crickets waking in the background. Cassie took a deep breathe, before all of that color, all of that happiness, faded away.

She could hear the sounds of leaves shifting, the warmth of the sun on her face. Underneath her was itchy grass and branches. When Cassie opened her eyes the sun was blinding her, she rubbed her eyes, slowly sitting up. A sharp pain came from her chest, she looked down, her shirt was completely covered in blood with a giant hole in it. She began to panic, Cassie stood up and looked around. In the middle of the woods, not a person in sight. "Hello love." Cassie whipped her head around, there stood Klaus. He looked lively and chipper. "What happened? You killed me! Is this heaven, because if I have to-?" Klaus came up grabbing her shoulders, "You're still alive, well. Sort of." Cassie rubbed her temples, "This can't be, you're supposed to be dead. I am supposed to be dead." She took a few steps back, her breathing was ragged and she couldn't seem to catch it. "Calm down Cass. Everything is alright." Elijah stood behind Klaus, Cassie looked up at him, she ran towards him and pulled him into a hug, "What happened?"

Elijah held the back of her head, keeping his other arm wrapped around her waist, "It seems that Niklaus had a weak moment. With his hand around your heart he decided to spare your life. He took Jenna's instead." Cassie pulled away, she turned around to face him. "You killed Jenna?" Klaus smirked, "I killed that little werewolf, your precious aunt Jenna, and the doppelgänger Elena." Her breathe caught in her throat, after she left she had no idea what they had done. If measurements were taken to save her life or if she was just dead. Cassie bit her lip trying so hard to fight back the sadness that had just washed over her. "Don't be upset love, it was all necessary, but now look, I am the big bad hybrid." Cassie looked up at him, "Screw you." She turned her head and looked Elijah dead in the eye, "You were supposed to kill him, why didn't you, because right now it seems to me like you're the one who had a weak moment." Elijah sighed, "He has our family. They aren't at the bottom of the sea darling. He knows where they are." Suddenly relief replaced any emotion that seemed to be swallowing her whole.

"Rebekah's alright? Kol, Finn? They're all there?" Klaus nodded, Cassie couldn't help but smile. The Mikaelson siblings were the best example of what little family she had left. Each one of them showing her gracious amounts of kindness, after their mother had taken her in, teaching her magic, she became one with the family. They protected her at any and all costs. Some of them she hadn't seen in 900 years. Cassie put a hand to her chest, looking down she realized she looked like garbage. Covered in dirt, hole in her shirt, stained with blood and she figured she smelt absolutely awful. "Let's get out of here, shall we?" She nodded and wrapped her arms back around Elijah, with that he lead Cassie and themselves out of the woods.

It was hours later when they arrived at Klaus' apartment, Cassie immediately went in and took a shower, as much as she wanted to see the siblings, they'd been dead for a long time, a few minutes couldn't hurt. As she washed off her body she couldn't help but let out a sigh, the water was so hot it left her skin sizzling. The feeling was perfect. After a few more minutes she turned it off and stepped out of the shower, there wasn't a towel in sight. Cassie cursed under her breathe, "Klaus? Elijah?" She called out the words but there was no response. Cassie took a deep breathe and walked out of the bathroom, not a clothing garment in sight. As she walked out she spotted both men standing there, "You both have vampire hearing and you couldn't possibly hear me shouting for a towel? Plus I need clothes." They both turned around, Elijah immediately looking back down, as for Klaus he took just a second to admire. Klaus broke his gaze long enough to grab a towel from a drawer, throwing it in her direction, he grabbed a folded pair of jeans and a grey henley. "The jeans are Katerina's and the shirt is an old one of mine." Cassie furrowed her brows, she finally saw what they were looking at, the coffins were suddenly in the living room, 6 of them. She shook it off, she looked at Katherine, she had been there, sitting in silence, not daring to say a word, "Why- never mind I don't want to know." She walked back into the bathroom, she took her time, drying herself off, and putting on the new clothes.

There was a sudden commotion behind the bathroom door, voices, three of them. Cassie opened the door, she walked into the living room. Katherine sitting in the corner, Elijah, Klaus, and Stefan. "Stefan what the hell are you doing here?" Stefan turned his eyes in her direction, "Cassie?" He walked up to her and hugged her, she was hesitant but eventually hugged him back, "What is going on? Why are you here?" She pulled back to look at him, she noticed the worry in his eyes, "It's Damon. The night of the full moon Tyler bit him." The realization struck Cassie, that happened days ago, which meant Damon was knocking on deaths door, if he wasn't there already. After such a long time Cassie still had no idea how to cure the bite of a werewolf. "I think I know just the thing, but there's something I have to take care of first." Cassie looked at Klaus, pulling something out of his pocket he turned around and stabbed Elijah.

Her knees went weak, Stefan held her up, his body went stiff and grey, as Cassie did the math, she realized. 6 coffins. 4 of them full. 2 of them empty. 3 originals in the room. 1 with the daggers. "Don't you dare, Nik don't you dare." Klaus pulled another out of his pocket, looking at Cassie he sighed, "The cure for a werewolf bite is the blood of the original hybrid. Stefan, if you want that cure for your pesky brother, hold your aunt still while I shove this into her heart." Cassie looked up at Stefan with wide eyes, he looked back down at her, "Stefan-..." He grabbed her arms, locking her into a position where she couldn't move her arms, Cassie kicked her legs, flailing like crazy. "You son of a bitch, I swear on my life Niklaus I will kill you, mark my words I'll kill you!" He walked towards her, he knelt down, looking her straight in the eye, "I have plans and as much as I dread it, you don't fit into those plans Cassie May." He touched her face, with that she gave up, her fate was inevitable. Two people she cared about most had just betrayed her, the feeling of betrayal gave her nothing to fight for. Cassie closed her eyes. A sharp pain went piercing through her chest. She felt her upper body drop, her whole body went numb. Then it all went dark.
