Third Persons Narrative;

Ajinke had just come out of the maid's quarters and was thinking about her friend Asake. Asake was still a broken mess, and she felt bad for her. However, Ajinke was also confused about the prince. Does he really love her? Or, as Asake said, is he only trying to save his mother's name?

After all, the queen did say that this marriage will help her feel at peace.

“Ajinke? “A familiar voice called her out of her thoughts, and as she looked up, her heart skipped a beat on seeing Muyiwa walking towards her.

A part of her suddenly felt guilty for kissing the prince earlier. .

“Are you alright? “He questioned. Taking her hands, and her heart fell as she gulped.

“What… What are you doing here? “She questioned, as she didn't know what else to say or do.

“I came to check up on you. After what that prince said, I just… I just couldn't bring my mind to rest. How could they do that to you? Do they think you're some sort of toy?

First, they locked you up and mistreated you. Then the prince announces that he wants to get married to you? What does he take himself for!? “Muyiwa began, and Ajinke just stared in plain confusion.

“Muyiwa, it's… I'm okay. I… I can handle myself. “Ajinke replies, and Muyiwa draws her close to him. His mind is in a frenzy as the thought of Ajinke being another man's wife was eating at him.

“Ajinke, please promise me… Promise me that you won't marry that man. Tell me that you… That you'd reject this marriage. You don't… You don't have to get married to a man you don't love.

I… I… We…” Muyiwa begins, and Ajinke begins to struggle to break free from his grip.

“Muyiwa, what… Let go of me…”

“Ajinke, you can't get married to another man. I… I love you, and I know you love me too. We… We can run away. We… You're mine and we… We don't have to change that for anyone. Not… Not even the prince. “Muyiwa continues, cutting Ajinke off, and she glares at him in alarm.

She suddenly pushes him away and glares at him.

“I'm not yours, Muyiwa! I'm old enough to make my own decisions. I… I appreciate that you're concerned about me, but… But please don't overstep your boundaries.

I'm not your girlfriend.  “Ajinke replies, and Muyiwa's face falls.

“Ajinke, why are you saying that? Is it... Is it because of what my father did? It's been quite a while now, Ajinke, and I've atoned for my mistakes. I swear nothing like that will ever repeat itself.

Please just don't say these things to me. “Muyiwa begs as he steps closer to Ajinke.

“Muyiwa, stop. There's no relationship between us. If we need to tag whatever we share, then it would be friendship. Just friendship. “Ajinke replies as she attempts to walk away.

She shuts her eyes as she remembers that horrible day when Muyiwa's father tried to steal her innocence away.

She remembers how it felt. Every little detail.

“Ajinke, don't talk like that. You can't just friend zone me. I'm madly in love with you! “Muyiwa yells in frustration as he traps Ajinke between a wall and him, with his arm around her waist.

Ajinke whimpers in pain as her wounded back comes in contact with the wall, but Muyiwa doesn't react to her pain. He pulls her closer to him by her tiny waist, and she looks up at him in horror.

“Ajinke, please don't make this difficult. I know you love me just as much as I love you. You don't have to marry anyone. We can run away.  “He says, and Ajinke gulps as she looks away from Muiywas honey brown eyes.

“Muyiwa, please stop this. I'm… I'm not running away, I'm… I'm getting married to the prince. “Ajinke replies, and Muyiwa's eyes grow dark with rage.

“What nonsense are you saying? Since when? Tell me, who's forcing you? Someone's trying to brainwash you. They threatened you, didn't they!? “Muyiwa scolds in anger, and Ajinke shudders in fear.

“Muyiwa, please let me go… I… I… Please… “Ajinke begins to beg as tears begin to form in her eyes. Her back hurts badly from the wounds and the way Muyiwa is holding on to her waist.

Also, she's horrified by this new side of Muyiwa that she's seeing.

“Not until you tell me the truth! Not until you admit that you love me! I know you do, and I'm certain that you won't get married to the prince! Don't be scared. Just tell me.” Muyiwa replies, and Ajinke falls silent in horror at the level of possession in his voice.

She looks up at him in shock. Muyiwa then takes Ajinke's lips in his and pins her to the wall to restrict her protest.

Ajinke begins to struggle and cry harder as Muyiwa continues to assault her lips. She finally manages to break free, and she throws a heavy smack across his face.

“What has gotten into you!? “She screams, and Muyiwa cradles his cheek while staring at Ajinke in shock.

“I've accepted to get married to the prince. What about that don't you understand? I… We… There's nothing between us, Muyiwa, so why are you trying to lay claims to me!? “Ajinke questions in horror, and Muyiwa runs his tongue over his upper teeth before smiling at Ajinke.

“Ajinke, you will not get married to the prince. I promise you that. You will be mine instead. Just know now. You're not getting married to anyone who's not me. I know they've threatened you, and I'd save you. "Muyiwa says to her before turning around and walking away, and Ajinke freezes in horror as she watches him march away.

She could sense danger in his words. Thinking about his actions and words made her skin crawl. Since when did he become like this? And what is he planning to do?

Where is the Muyiwa she used to know?
