How does one explain themselves
When every explanation sounds like an excuse?
An intellect needs no excuse because they need no explanation.
They need no justification because they do nothing wrong.
Because they have all the answers.A socialite needs no excuse because they are easy to understand.
They wear their heart on their sleeve
And share their story with the world.A ruler needs no excuse because they create the rules.
They write the laws and see them through.
Nobody would dare to question them.A good person needs no excuse because they are honest and pure.
They tell no lies and acknowledge their faults humbly.
And they are always forgiven.A loner needs no excuse because they have nobody to please.
They live for themselves and accept their flaws
Because they don't care about judgment. The forsaken, the broken, the servant, the follower,
Needs excuses because nobody is around to support them.
They are cast away
Unwanted
Irrelevant.
Drifting hopelessly into a dreary tomorrow
Into tomorrow into tomorrow into tomorrow
And again. They must justify their own existence because nobody else will.
And when tomorrow is gone
They must justify their deathsBecause no excuse is ever good enough
To satisfy the ones who have forsaken them.
