Oh, clever moon,
How you deceive us with your radiant beauty.
Oh, swift moon,
How you move hastily across the ever-darkening, jeweled sky.
Raining down your elegant, silver light
Onto the bitter-cold, frost-bitten ground.
Your glowing light emanating
Putting the golden sun to shame
Why do you hide your silver gaze
From those who seek its wisdom and guidance?
Oh, brave moon,
How you dare to chase the sun away
Oh, lost moon,
Follow the silver path you've paved
And find me at the end once more
Awaiting your gentle embrace.
