Sect Leader Jiang had returned to Cloud Recesses only a week after he was last here. At first, he questioned if there was something wrong between Wei Ying and me. My brother reassured him that we were just fine; not that they need to know, we are more than fine.

"You are here with Sect Leader Jin because of a fight that broke out between your sons, Jin Zixuan and Jiang Wanyin," my brother told him.

"What about?" Sect Leader Jiang asked.

"It happened to be about the marriage arrangement you have set with your daughter and Zixuan. Jin Zixuan had said some things about young lady Jiang that were intolerable as it is, but to make things worse he and Jiang Wanyin got into a physical altercation. Young master Jiang did not stand to let him insult his Jie-Jie but fighting is never the answer," Xiongzhang explained.

"It seems to me this marriage arrangement is just something we cannot keep," Sect Leader Jiang said, "Sect Leader Jin, for the time being if things were to change between the two, then maybe we can reconsider but for now, let us not step in the way and force this upon them."

"I agree with you," Sect Leader Jin nodded, "our wives won't be happy but it is what we can do to solve this problem from future altercations. As for my son, is he able to stay the remainder of the time? I am happy to take him home otherwise."

"I will take my kids home as well," Sect Leader Jiang said.

"A-Die," Yanli interrupted, "can I stay for a while longer? I am finally improving my golden core and cultivation and Lan er Gongzi has been very helpful."

"Very well, but Jiang Cheng, you will come him with me, I am sure you have some explaining to do," Sect Leader Jiang said.

Jiang Wanyin only nodded and was very happy to leave. He just wanted to be away from Cloud Recesses and Gusu as soon as possible.

"Jiang Cheng, please behave and speak with your parents," Wei Ying told him, "but may I do a something before you go?" He nodded. I thought he had already put the core protection on him but he must not have yet. So he put one on Wanyin and Sect Leader Jiang, "I will have to give one to Madam Yu another time. I will visit soon anyway."

"What did you do?" Wanyin asked.

"It's a barrier to protect your golden core," Wei Ying answered, "there had been rumors going around that the Wen Clan has a person called Core-Melting-Hand. He can take away and crush a cultivator's core. With this, you are safe."

"We did not hear such rumors," Sect leader Jin stated.

"We had a disciple hear of it while out on a night hunt. He wanted to share it with us in case it was something important. We have even been strengthening our wards, thanks to A'Xian," Xiongzhang explained to them.

"Well, if it is true, we will keep our eyes and ears open for other news. When A'Ying visits Lotus Pier, are you willing to strengthen ours?" Sect leader Jiang asked.

"Of course," he said, "when I visit is when I bring Shijie home, Lan Zhan have a night hunt planned for when lectures are over."

After all that was said, the two Jins and Sect leader Jiang along with Jiang Wanyin left the grounds. All that was left in Yashi was my brother, Yanli, Wei Ying, and me.

"Well, that went well," Wei Ying said and looked at his shijie, "are you okay?"

"I am actually more than okay," she said, "I always felt I had to force myself to find feelings for Jin Zixuan, but I feel relieved. I am not tied to him or his clan and I can focus on myself."
