The Truth

We received word that there was someone was spotted in Wei Ying's old attire. Apparently, he didn't know that Wei Ying doesn't wear red and black anymore. He is in Gusu robes more nowadays. He said he has taken a liking to the new robes that he wears. As long as black is involved he is content. I told him the red ribbon is with me on my arm. He was okay with that. It was a piece of him that was with me at all times.

The culprit was caught as he tried to attack Wanyin, as we had thought he would do. He had a charm on him that made him look like Wei Ying, including his face. So we all waited in Yashi for Jiang Fengmian, Jiang Wanyin, and the culprit.

The first thing that was done was sealing Wanyin's powers. He was okay with this as he knows his errors and is willing to atone for them. Fengmian said he had thought about going to seclusion but for the time being he will be fine. He said it was up to Yanli and Wei Ying to decide the next Sect Leader among them.

"Uncle Jiang, being a sect leader was never really something I wanted, ever," Wei Ying admitted.

"Well, if you like your partner can take the leadership role and you can be the other half as you know the sect well," Jiang Fengmian stated, "from what it seems, Yanli plans to be here with Sect Leader Lan."

Wei Ying grabbed me to keep me from slicing off this guys head, "who are you?!" I yelled.

"I was kicked out of Gusu, remember? Both times, this time with my core ripped out," he said removing the talisman and revealing his true face.

"Su She!" Shufu, Xiongzhang and I all yelled.

"Where is Meng Yao now?" Xiongzhang asked.

"Probably with his father, he ordered his father's favorite women to pay a visit, have a whole day and night of fun," Su She said with a smirk.

Brother ordered some disciples to get to Lanling with Nie Mingjue. He will meet them there. They nodded and left.

"You killed Yu Ziyuan?" Wei Ying asked, "Why?"

"To slowly torture you, Yiling Patriarch," he said.

"Who?" Wei Ying asked.

"That's a name you gained for your abilities, as you were known as master of demonic cultivation back then," I explained, "it is a name that was said too often. You even hated the name."

"I hate it now," he said, "I prefer being Wei Wuxian or Lan Wangji's Cultivation Partner, not that."

"We can think of something later, you dummy," Jiang Wanyin scolded, "right now, this man is causing so much trouble in both the past and the present."

I turned to Wei Ying, "Are you okay?" I asked him.

He shook his head no. I pulled him into a hug and let him cry. I sat down with him on my lap and just let him get his emotions out. I was not okay myself. I couldn't hold back tears any longer and put my face into Wei Ying's neck as his was basically in mine. We cried together at this point. For me these were tears of happiness, anger, and sadness. The amount of pain we both went through. Wei Ying did not remember anything and only had ideas from Empathy. I remember everything to detail.

We don't know how long we sat there crying. The others in the room let us be for the time being so we can calm down. My brother and shijie eventually came back to comfort us both.

"Huan-Ge," I sobbed.

"It's over now," he said, "we know the truth now and you two can be at peace. You both deserve some time to yourselves and clear your head. Why not go for a night hunt or something?" He suggested.

"We had plans to go on one after we knew the truth, but we need some time I think," I said wiping tears away.

"It's alright," Xiongzhang said, "why don't you two head back to Jingshi and rest for a bit. You both look like you need it."

Wei Ying and I nodded. We got up and went back to the Jingshi. All we did was lay in bed and cuddle for a while. We even fell asleep as well.
