Genuine Love (Kristoph Gavin x Reader)

A/N: Takes place in an AU where Kristoph is not a murderer!

Your Pov:

I stood in the kitchen, preparing dinner for Kristoph and I. He was on his way home from work, so I knew that he was incredibly tired. I had already cleaned the house, did the laundry, and grocery shopped. I didn't work since Kristoph was insistent on pampering me 24/7. So to pass the time, I would clean or take up other chores.

I took the steak off the pan and placed it on the plate next to the steaming mashed potatoes and vegetables.  I placed both plates, a bottle of wine, two glasses, and the silverware on the table. Just then, the front door opened and closed. I walked out of the kitchen to see Kristoph hanging his coat on the rack. He turned to me.

"How was your day, darling?"

I smiled. "It was fine. I cleaned up and did some laundry among other things." He walked over to me and placed his hand under my chin, tilting my gaze up to meet his. "You shouldn't have to stress yourself. We have a maid for that." I pouted. "Still. I just like feeling useful. And since you do a lot for me already..." He chuckled. "I do it because you deserve nothing but the finest. I want you to enjoy yourself. Go shopping, enjoy an outing with your friends, anything your heart desires."

He pulled away from me. I gestured towards the dining room. "Once you get changed, your dinner will be waiting in the dining room." He kissed my forehead. "Thank you, darling." He turned and headed upstairs. I walked into the dining room and made sure everything was perfect. I sat down and a few minutes later, Kristoph entered the room, sitting down at the opposite end of the table where his plate was. "You never fail to surprise me, my dear. Wine?"

I smiled. "Yes, please." We laughed, drank, and ate together. Once we were finished, I went to do dishes, but Kristoph stopped me. "You can do those later. For now, I want to spend some time with you."

We lounger together on the large sofa in front of the fireplace, a fleece blanket draped over the two of us. I cuddled into Kristoph's side. He held me close. I sighed. "I feel like I could be doing more for you, Kris. I don't work and-" He gently grabbed my hands, cutting me off. "You already do enough, darling. And like I've said before, you deserve to be pampered. You love me and that's you need to do."

I smiled. "I love you, Kristoph." He looked down at me and captured my lips in a loving kiss before responding.

"I love you too, (Y/n)."
