A/N: This is a strip club AU! As a basic outline, Phoenix and Edgeworth run the club, some of the others are bouncers and the like, while reader and some are the dancers. If you don't care for this kind of thing, feel free to skip this!

Your Pov:

I sat backstage, sipping on some water. Tonight was a busy night for all of the dancers. Ema was onstage with Sasha, getting the crowd going. Franziska and Adrian were tending to some VIPs while Desiree and Athena walked the floor. This was actually a decent place to work. Phoenix and Edgeworth were always kind to us and we were paid well. We all treated each other like family and in a way, we were one.

The youngest ones were Maya, Pearls, Kay, and Trucy. They were the club's princesses. Nobody messed with them, and if they did, they'd be in a heap of trouble. They were still too young to dance, so they would sit at a booth by the bar and watch us.

Apollo was a very sweet bouncer. Phoenix hired him on a few years ago. Apollo was always the one to keep an eye out for us when we walked the floor. His shouting was always enough to keep anyone away. Before big performances, he'd always bring a bouquet of flowers and split it between the dancers evenly. Gumshoe was also a bouncer. He was very overprotective. If anyone upset us for any reason, he'd hit them back 10x harder. He made the club a safer place to work.

Klavier and Godot were the main bartenders. They always made the best drinks. Godot's were strong and heavy while Klavier's were light and fruity. But the one drink they knew by heart was the Angel Shot. They came through every time it was asked for.

Simon was our stage guard. He'd wait by the stage side to help us backstage after we finished our performance. Since he looked so intimidating, no one tried to challenge him. He was also the backup help if Apollo couldn't deal with the situation alone.

Backstage with the girls, Nahyuta was our outfit and makeup coordinator. He would provide us with the finest outfits and makeup. Because of him, we never had a bad hair day or costume mishap. He'd scold us if we tried to perform looking like a hot mess.

And finally, the girls or rather, my sisters. Athena joined the club a year after Apollo did. She was vibrant and energetic. She attracted a lot of the nerdy types. Adrian and Franziska joined the club a few years before that. Because of their cold, sharp personalities, they brought in a lot of the rich, cowardly men. Sasha and Ema came to the club one week apart. Sasha left her previous job due to her heart condition. Ema didn't have enough money to continue her schooling and dropped out. Desiree was one of the surprising ones. Her husband was a thief, but they needed more income to pay their bills and cover Desiree's spending habit. He'd agreed to let her work at the club, but insisted she wear her ring. She did and it attracted the cheating men who already had wives.

As for me, I was all alone. No friends, no family. Phoenix offered me the job when we met in the park. I had been sitting on a park bench, panicking as I tried to think of how I was going to pay rent. Phoenix was kind enough to ask me if I was alright and once I explained everything to him, he offered me the job. Of course, I took it. The only other dancer at the club at the time was Mia. She was a beautiful woman. She was Maya's older sister and Godot's girlfriend. She was dancing to support Maya.

Mia taught me everything there was to know about dancing. She taught me how to evade the creeps and check my drinks for drugs. But then, Mia was murdered. We don't know exactly what happened, but during one of her VIP sessions, a regular of hers confessed his love to her. From what witnesses outside the door heard, it sounded like she had rejected him. Then when she went to leave, he killed her. He grabbed a bottle of champagne from the table and hit her with it. The blow to the back of her head killed her instantly.

After that, all VIP sessions had to have the doors unlocked with a bouncer waiting outside. I taught the girls what Mia had taught me and they all learned pretty quickly. Soon enough, we all healed and moved on.

Someone called me, suddenly snapping me out of my thoughts. "(Y/n)!" I looked over to see Sasha and Ema entering the backstage. Ema smiled at me. "You're on in 10. Good luck." I smiled back at her. "Thanks for telling me." Soon enough, the 10 minutes had passed. I took off my robe and passed it to Simon. The announcer's voice rang out over the crowd as I came through the curtains.

"And here she is! The lady of the hour! (Stage name)!"
