In Plain Sight PT. 2

A/N: This isn't related to this chapter, but I wanted to bring it up. So I played through TGAA 1 & 2 with friends. In the last case of TGAA 1 when Crogray (Egg Benedict) was called to the stand along with Gina, one of my friends suddenly says "They look good together. Is this a ship?" I was in shock. Gina is 17 during that case. Crogray is 27. And when that was brought up, that same friend responds with "Well, it was the 19th century. It wouldn't have been weird." The average age for marriage in the 19th century was 22. I was at a loss for words. But, yeah. Just thought I'd bring that up.

Your Pov:

It had been a few days since the closet incident and Susato had heard from her father that Mr. Holmes was coming to the university with Iris and Gina. He was supposedly coming to assist with Mr. Mikotoba's class. He couldn't leave Gina and Iris alone in Britain, so they had to come with.

I was eating lunch with Kazuma under the cherry tree as we waited for Ryuu and Susato. I looked at Kazuma. "I'm surprised it took Mr. Holmes longer to come to Japan than it took you to return." Kazuma looked at me. "I only stayed in Britain for a year after Ryuunosuke and Susato left. I need to finish my education here still."

Susato and Ryuu came around the wall and sat down with us. We all talked and ate until the bell dinged. As we all headed inside, Susato spoke. "My father has asked that we all go to his lecture room instead of next period. The instructors have already given us permission." I shared a look with Kazuma. He spoke. "What does he want?" Susato shrugged. "I don't know. All he told me is what I've said."

After that, we headed to Mr. Mikotoba's lecture room. When we arrived, the room was empty. We all sat down anyways and waited. I looked around the room. Every windows' blinds were closed and both doors were shut. I hummed. "Looks like we have time to kill before Mr. Mikotoba gets here."

I held back a squeak of surprise as Susato basically jumped me. She giggled and started kissing me. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Ryuu and Kazuma roughhousing, which was just Kazuma pinning Ryuu down and teasing him.

But we all froze as we heard footsteps rushing quickly towards the doors. We scrambled back into our seats, trying to fix our hair and clothes. But I knew that it was obvious and I wanted to die due to the embarrassment I felt. Kazuma's jacket collar had popped open, exposing a hickey on the front of his throat, Ryuu and Susato were both flushed and trying to catch their breath, and my lips were starting to feel swollen.

The door opened and Mr. Mikotoba came into the room. He was followed by Mr. Holmes, Iris, and Gina. They all came over to us. Mr. Mikotoba saw through us immediately by the pointed look he gave us. Iris greeted us. "Ryuu! Susie! (N/n)! It's been so long!"

We got up to greet them. I smiled at Iris. "It's good to see you again." Gina bounded up beside her. "I didn't know you were datin' those blokes." Susato spoke up from next to me. "A-Ah, yes! I've been with Ryuunosuke for...quite some time." She hugged Ryuu's arm.

I followed along. "I started seeing Kazuma before I left back to Japan. We've been together ever since." Kazuma put his arm around my shoulder pulling me into his side. Mr. Holmes looked at us. "Hm...I feel a deduction coming on!" Mr. Mikotoba spoke up. "A deduction? Already?"

Mr. Holmes nodded. "It's right in front of your face, Mikotoba. It's so obvious I believe even Iris can see it." Iris tilted her head, thinking. "Hm...Oh! I do, Holmsie!" Gina rose a brow. "What?" Mr. Holmes continued. "Two dashing young men and two beautiful young women alone in this very room. A bit suggestive, no? But!"

Gina  huffed. "What are ya' goin on about 'olmes? They're dating, They just said so." Mr. Holmes grinned. "Take a look here." He gestured to Ryuu and Susato. "Both of them are flushed, but only the young lady here has swollen lips. Her partner's lips look unblemished for the most part."

He looked at Kazuma and I. "But if you look over here, this young lady's lips are quite swollen as well. And this gentleman next to her is wearing one piece of a Yin & Yang necklace but she is not wearing the other half." I shot a glance to Ryuu and noticed he was wearing his necklace too.

Mr. Holmes to notice as well. "And what's this! Master Naruhodou has the matching half. This can only mean one thing." Mr. Mikotoba spoke. "And what would that be?" Gina nodded. "I want to know too!" Mr. Holmes snapped his fingers.

"These relationships are fake!"

We all tensed and I could see Ryuu sweating bullets. Gina huffed. "Fake? How?" Iris giggled. "You can't see it, Ginebean?"  Mr. Mikotoba tried to speak. "Holmes-" Mr. Holmes explained further. "These young women are seeing each other and it's the same with these young men. A worthy deduction if I do say so myself."

We all stayed silent. That was until Gina spoke up. "I knew it! Pay up Iris!" Iris pouted. "Aw! Well, here's your 17 £." Susato blinked owlishly. "W-What?" Ryuu hesitated. "You're ok with us...?"

Gina laughed. " 'Course. What do ya' think the gentlemans' and ladys' clubs in London are for?" Mr. Holmes chuckled. "Just between us, I swing either way, as the French would say." Mr. Mikotoba looked at him. "Holmes, you cannot tell anyone about this. It'd be dangerous if it got out."

Mr. Holmes hummed. "I understand completely." We had moved around and now I was standing with Susato, holding her hand. Mr. Mikotoba spoke up. "I called you all here so that you could reunite with some old friends. They'll be assisting in my classes, so you'll see them next period."

Susato smiled. "How wonderful!" Mr. Mikotoba continued. "Now you all should be getting to your classes. And be careful on your way there." We all bowed before heading to the door. Before we stepped out into the hall, we started our act again. An act we wished so badly we could drop.

But at least we weren't alone. We had the support of our close friends and family too.
