I sighed as I sat in the lobby. I had a case to get through and I was so tired. Being almost nine months pregnant didn't snag me any sympathy from my boss. He was standing next to me, reading over another portion of the case. I joined Kristoph's firm a year after I met Klavier. That had been 2 years ago. Klavier was ecstatic when I told him I was pregnant.

The bailiff entered the lobby. "Ms. (L/n), you may enter the courtroom now." I slowly stood and walked into the courtroom. Kristoph followed behind me, carrying our case files and evidence. This was a typical murder case, nothing new.

I took my spot at the bench and smiled when I saw Klavier across the way. We faced off against each other often, but we never went easy on each other. The judge cleared his throat. "Court is now in session." I spoke. "The defense is ready your honor." The judge nodded and turned to the prosecution. "And the prosecution?" Klavier grinned. "The prosecution is ready to rock, herr judge."

The trial began and Klavier called the first witness to the stand. As I stood there, I felt a twinge in my stomach. I ignored it and tried to focus on the testimony. A few minutes in, however, the twinge came again. Then, a very intense twinge hit me. I slightly bumped back into Kristoph. He steadied me. "What is it? You need to pay attention to the testimony."

I shook my head and muttered to him. "It's nothing." I continued to ignore any twinges after that and started my cross-examination. Halfway through, my legs almost gave out as I was asking the witness a question. Everyone in the room gasped. The judge spoke. "Ms. (L/n), are you alright? I know that your baby could be here any day now." I tried to brush it off. "I'm fine, your honor. Don't worry about me." I could tell that Klavier was also concerned by the expression on his face.

Then, I paled as I felt liquid flow from between my legs. Kristoph looked at Klavier. "I believe it's time." The judge quickly spoke. "This trial will be put on hold until further notice. Bailiff, call in for an escort if you would." The bailiff nodded and left the room.

Klavier quickly came to my side and helped me out of the courtroom. "Kristoph's going to meet us there, schatzi." Luckily, Klavier had driven his car today. We got into the car and he immediately stepped on the gas. I tried to steady my breathing as the contractions hit me. Klavier put a hand on my leg. "How are you feeling?" I looked at him. "It hurts, but just get me to the hospital please."

We arrived at the hospital 10 minutes later and went inside. The nurses wheeled me into a private room and helped me into a gown. I laid in the bed, breathing deeply. The doctor entered the room and checked how far along I was. "Hm...It's time, Ms. (L/n)." I nodded. "O-Okay..." Klavier held my hand as I started pushing. This went on for two hours, with me glaring at Klavier every time he went to speak. Finally, 9 hours later, a cry filled the room.

The nurse cleaned the baby off before wrapping them in a blanket. "It's a boy." However, I still felt the need to push. The doctor looked up at me. "It looks like there's another." After glaring at Klavier again, I kept pushing. A few minutes later, another cry filled the room. The nurse also cleaned and bundled them up. "It's another boy." The doctor cleaned me up and left us alone afterwards.

I looked at Klavier. "You got your two. We're done now." He smiled. "Whatever you say, schatzi. They're beautiful. Just like you."

And so, on (Date), (Name 1) and (Name 2) Gavin were brought into the world.
