"Explain yourself, girl."

Explain. I supposed this would be good practice for when I would have to do this with the Darkling.

I would not hold back.

"I don't understand it either, Baghra. But I am not the enemy here."

This seemed to assure her ever so slightly - a glare of steel slightly softened to orbs of coal.

"I am from the future, a child of the two most powerful Grisha, well not anymore," I smirked.

This seemed to amuse her.

"Just like your father," she muttered.

That did not sit well with me.

"I am nothing like him."

She ignored my little outburst.

"I'm assuming your mother is the sun summoner?"

I nodded.

Something else seemed to occur to her. I watched as her harsh features morphed into a look of puzzlement, a question on the tip of her tongue.

"How old are you?"

I did not hesitate.

"I'm in my eighth century."

Her eyes widened in the same way after I called her babushka.

"You don't know exactly?"

"Who keeps count at our age?"

I saw the quick twitch of her lips that should have been a smile. Just like her son, I noted.

"Indeed."

Her following words had only been meant for herself, but I caught them. I saw her surprise and perhaps... fear?

"So there will be more like us."

"Yes. And even more powerful."

"There are more of you?"

"Yes," I acknowledged.

"I have an older brother, Alistair. About a century older than myself."
