(Chapter - 43)

The brothers soon assembled at the rooftop and sat themselves on the cane chairs placed. It would be a lie if they said that they weren't nervous at all, the impatient tapping of their feet was a witness to it.

"Good evening Dad," Sunghoon was the first one to stand up abruptly and greet the elder, causing the rest to flinch and greet him too.

"It's so lovely to see you all together in person... It's been a long time, isn't it?" Mr. Park smiled at his kids which seemed suspicious to them.

"Yes Dad..." Heeseung scratched his head as he threw a nervous smile to his father.

"Take a seat, boys." Mr. Park suggested them.

"After you, dad." Niki insisted to which his father passed him a comforting smile.

"Coming to today's agenda now, who was keeping a check on Y/N before she disappeared?" Mr. Park asked them as his voice slipped into a monotone sending chills to the siblings.

Everyone looked nervously at Sunoo, who was shifting his gaze here and there due to nervousness. They couldn't throw him in the black hole all alone, he was their own brother after all.

"There was no one around her at that time. She was roaming about on her own." Jay replied to him, a tinge of satisfaction and relief appearing on the rest of the group.

"Jake... Is that so?" Mr. Park moved his gaze to Jake, who suddenly flinched on the mention of his name.

"Y-Yes dad! No one was around her, no one..." Jake replied nervously, unsure of his response.

"Can you repeat this while looking into my eyes Mr.?" Mr. Park asked.

They all were doomed.

Mr. Park was well aware of the fact that Jake couldn't lie. Well, only in front of him. Jake feared his father a lot and in front of him all he could speak out is the truth. He may have deceived people around the world, playing puppet shows with them all on his fingers, but whenever he tried to lie in front of his dad, his skills would deceive him for the worst. His expressions, reflexes and body language could tell it all. After all, a parent knows everything about their child and that is happening now too.

"Sunoo was around her at that time, dad." Jake stated the fact regretfully as he threw an apologetic glance towards Sunoo, who was throwing daggers at him.

"Aish, Jake hyung," Jungwon slapped his forehead in a 'so done' expression.

"So, you all were lying to me at the moment, due to this not only Sunoo but the rest of you would also get not exactly a punishment but a disadvantage alongside him." Mr. Park declared only to receive sighs from his children.

"You all are getting no bonuses or promotions in the gang around the year. Moreover, no patrol guards or bouncers to escort you all. Best of luck." Mr. Park took his leave after declaring his decision.

"Well it's a really big disadvantage taking a toll over us right now..." Niki mumbled to the rest.

"It's really dangerous to deal outside the mansion at these times especially when the Cha's gang is out for a hunt and moreover, weapons are not allowed inside the school premises. Please try to stick to each other whenever possible and keep an eye out for the possible dangers that may be lurking around." Jungwon instructed the rest who seemed to agree with his standpoint.

"Also don't forget to pin your location on the group if you sense any danger." Jake suggested.

"Look who is speaking..." Sunoo scoffed.

"It wasn't like I hate you Sunoo! I just can't get myself to lie, you know..." Jake smiled apologetically at the younger.

"It's okay hyung!" Sunoo smiled at his elder brother with shining eyes.

The Sun slipped through the beige curtains causing the room to illuminate a shade of subtle gold. The rays hit straight onto Y/N who grumbled and tossed around her bed trying to get a comfortable spot to slip back into her slumber but unfortunately, her alarm rang aloud causing her to mumble incoherent curses.

"Shut up, noisy bitch!" Y/N tossed her pillow right onto the alarm clock causing it to toss off the table, immediately regretting her actions.

"H-Hey! Please be alright!" Y/N crossed her fingers as she approached the crime scene in anticipation.

"Please wake up, bitch! I cannot live without you!" Y/N held her alarm clock in regret as she discovered that it had stopped working.

"Ahem! Are you going through a mental breakdown there, sis? Talking there with your alarm clock is quite normal, right?" Niki appeared on the door while rubbing his eyes.

"If you are done recreating a k-drama then cordially get your ass to the breakfast table after thirty minutes." Niki announced as he left her room.

"Okay, I will..." Y/N responded back lazily.

"Is our highness going to make a special appearance today too?" Jay asked the rest of the siblings as he lifted up his sleepy self.

"She is coming for the breakfast, right?" Sunghoon asked as he nudged Niki.

"Yeah, she told me, she would..." Niki assured.

"Okay! It's enough now! I am going to drag her here." Heeseung lazily rose up from his chair, too lazy to showcase his anger and disappointment.

"Yaah! Y/N!" Heeseung barged into the room only to find the girl dozed off to sleep.

"WAKE UP Y/N! IT'S HIGH TIME YOU ARE GETTING LATE FOR SCHOOL!" Heeseung yelled as an attempt to wake her up.

"I am up!" Y/N mumbled with her eyes still closed only to get smacked lightly by his brother.

"WHY?" Y/N shouted as she abruptly stood up from the bed and went off to brush her teeth.

"I will call someone to send your breakfast in your room, just get ready fast!" Heeseung instructed her before he left her room.

"She was sleeping up there, you all can start eating as she would have her breakfast upstairs..." Heeseung informed the brothers as soon as he entered the dining hall.

"Finally, some breakfast..." Sunoo mumbled as he started to eat his food.

The siblings, including Y/N left for the school and soon reached.

"Remember to be alert today, okay Y/N?" Jake asked her to which Y/N just hummed in response, taking the warning lightly and strolling off for her class.

Will she regret taking the warning lightly?

Danger is on the radar...
