1.) What is your name and age? (if you are comfortable telling us)
• My name is Joshika and of 22 years old.
2.) How did you first land on wattpad?
• I happen to come across a short story in Instagram, thus found this amazing reading and writing platform.
3.) What made you want to start writing? What was your inspiration?
• I was always in writing from childhood, I feel myself happy and elevated by doing so. And the age old books of patriotism, History have inspired me a lot.
4.) From where do you get the ideas of your books?
• It is mostly in my sleepless nights where new ideas pop up suddenly and my insides urge to grab a pen immediately. Also, when I think... what would have have happened to the protoganists if things turned out to be such... and some from my imagination and occurrences in people's life
5.) Which genre book are you currently writing? And what are the other genre that you wish to explore in future?
• One of mine is of Romance and Bildungsroman while the other one is a mixture of magical realism, fantasy, and contemporary romance. Though in near future, I would like to explore.. historical fiction with some dark romance.
6.) What will you advice to the aspiring, new writers?
• Though not an advice, I would like to remind the new writers that... you write for yourself and your happiness. And definitely, the votes and comments does not define your work in anyway. So chill and enjoy your writing in all and every possible way. Try to be optimistic !
7.) Which 5 books of Wattpad authors, do you love the most?
8.) Do you pre-plan the things that you write or it comes to you as you write the story?
• I do pre-plan my story, still majority of them comes during the process. Sometimes, they abruptly pop up and I would go erasing all and start from the beginning. It happens, but the core subject matter of my stories are always preplaned.
9.) What motivated you to start writing?
• With me being always in writing, I found this peculiar app to share my thoughts and ideas , to uplift my skill, also to have a good experience.
10.) What are the challenges that you face while writing?
• For me, it is always the time. With education and internships I will always try to steal some time from here and there to spend on my passion. It is still being a little hard though I try to manage as much as possible.
11.) How do you feel and what do you do when readers criticize you or your work?
• I have not been criticised for my work till now, but eventhough if it happens... I try to spot the errors from my side and will correct it for sure otherwise I will definitely not let them affect me in anyway, I will try to ignore them. And with many wonderful and positive things around us, I don't think I would give time to any sought of negativity. And, atlast healthy criticisms are always welcome because they do help me in improving my work.
12.) Do you write secretly? Or does your family knows? If yes, then how do they feel about it?
• Yes! My family knows about me writing, and since they are not interested in the literature they don't read my works. But, they do appreciate my writings.
13.) Wanna ask or say anything to your readers?
• I hope my readers are enjoying my work, and I would like to thank you all for your constant support, patience and love. Atlast, just because of me wanting to give you all... a quality added good fiction... it's taking time. Trust me, and I will give my best for you guys.
