CHAPTER 38

Emilia's POV
It's been days or a week since I ask Lizzy to join us for dinner and hanggang ngayon wala pa din siyang confirmation kung kelan. I'm really excited na kasi to meet her again in person. I have a lot things to say and questions to ask. Mukhang magkakaroon na nga ata ako ng anak na babae. I also ask Rod about her favourite viand and dessert para sigurado akong gugustuhin niyang bumalik dito ulit. After toasting some breads, I excused myself muna dahil as usual, gigisingin ko na naman ang mag-ama. I enter our room first and I saw Lucas, still laying on the bed but he's awake already.

Emilia: Gising ka na pala. Get up and take a bath, malalate ka niyan eh.

Lucas: Is Rod awake, hon?

Emilia: I don't know. Basta bumangon ka na jan. I'll check on him na din. Your tux and polo, nakaready na.

Lucas: Okay, Thank you.

I didn't utter any words, I just gave him sweet smile then directly head to my son's room. As I enter his room, nakaayos na ang kama niya and he's nowhere to be found. I went to the balcony hoping that he's there, but sadly wala. "Bakit wala siya dito? Hindi pa naman siya umalis ah. I saw his car at the garage pa eh". After a couple of second, naalala ko na kung saan siya nagpupunta whenever wala siya dito sa kwarto niya so I went out then directly go to his secret room.  Walang nakakapasok doon na iba, only me and Roderick lang. Pati nga helper ayaw niyang papasukin doon eh. As I knocked the door, he speak up " Guys, ano ba? I told you naman na you guys aren't allowed to enter this room diba?" After he tell those words, I immediately enter the room na and I was surprise cuz nadagdagan na pala ang collections niya.

Rod: Oh sorry mom, I thought sila manang na naman po eh.

Emilia: It's okay, anak. Mas lalong gumanda dito ah.

Rod: Look at this mom, bago po toh. Kagagawa ko lang po. Actually I was planning to give this to Lizzy pero wag na. Dito nalang po.

Emilia: Speaking of Lizzy, kelan siya pupunta dito? Ang tagal ko ng naghihintay anak. Sabihin mo naman ulit baka nakalimutan na niya.

Rod: I'll remind her later mom.

Emilia: Sige tapos sabihan mo ako agad ha?

Rod nodded then inakbayan niya lang ako while showing me new portraits he made. "Grabe talaga tong anak ko, sobra magmahal (in his mind)". Around 7:30am, inaya ko na siya magbreakfast dahil late na siya. As we enter our house, Lucas speak up. Nakabihis na siya at mag-isa niya lang sa hapagkainan so we walk towards him.

Lucas: Saan kayo galing? Samahan niyo na ako magbreakfast dito. Ang hilig niyo talaga mang-iwan eh noh?

Emilia: Want some coffee, hon?

Lucas: Yes, please.

Emilia: Ikaw anak?

Rod: Sige mom, thank you po.

It took us 30 minutes to finish our breakfast then after that pumasok na sa trabaho si Lucas while si Rod naman, magbibihis pa. Since mag-isa ko lang ulit maiiwan dito kasama ng mga helpers namin, I've decided to go out and meet my friends besides matagal na din the last time we had bond together.

Rod's POV
Around 9:15am, nakarating na ako sa firm. As I enter the building, unang bumungad sa akin sa Steffie. I greeted her back then straightly go to my office. Umiiwas na ako sa babaeng yun kasi naman ang kulit na niya especially kagabi. Ewan ko ba, nakakapanibago siya. Hindi naman siya ganyan ka-clingy dati nung nasa Barcelona kami eh. As I sit on my swivel chair, I grab my phone then call Imee and guess what, she answered right away.
