CHAPTER 77

Rod's POV
I'm here in our firm coz Dad told me na may importante siyang sasabihin. Hindi ko na din naihatid si Lizzy sa hospital coz Dad suddenly called me earlier. To be honest nung sinabi kong hindi ko siya maihahatid, tuwang-tuwa siya coz she smile widely when I handed her key. Jusko! Namiss ata niya pumasok sa trabaho on her own.

While waiting for Dad, I sit on her swivel chair and pretended to be the CEO. I even took a folder and read on it. Well, hindi ko naintindihan coz it's a financial statements pala dated last year HAHAHA. Nang maibalik ko ito sa side table niya, someone knocked door and suddenly enter. Sa totoo lang kinabahan ako pero as it opens, it's his secretary pala kaya agad kong inayos ang pagkakaupo ko.

Rod: I know you knocked but did I told you to come in?

Secretary: I-I'm sorry, sir.

Rod: Tsk! (then shook his head)

Secretary: Ahm sir, I came here just to inform you po na medyo matatagalan pa daw po ang Dad niyo sa meeting.

Rod: Okay.

Secretary: Yes, sir. Ahm, may kailangan po ba kayo? Nagugutom po ba kayo? I can prepare anything you want sir, just tell me po.

Rod: Nothing, I'm good. You can leave.

Secretary: Sige po, sir. Basta po kapag bigla po kayong—

Rod: Just leave.

After telling those words, I sigh deeply and shook my head. Tsk! Ang kulit, sabing okay ako eh. When she left, I immediately get my phone and I've decided to send Lizzy a message.

Hi, love. Kamusta ka?

As I sent that message, ibinaba ko muna ang phone ko then lean my back on the swivel chair at iniisip kung ano munang gagawin ko while waiting for Dad. Hayst! Sana pala sinama ko si Franky para may mapagtripan at mainis ako.

Half an hour had pass but still wala pa si Dad. Tapos si Lizzy naman wala pang reply hanggang ngayon. Hay! Siguro busy na naman ang Doctor ko kaya she can't reply me again. After a minute, I've decided to call Dad's secretary na coz I'm thirsty.

While drinking soda, I grab my phone and I've decided to send Lizzy a message again. I'm sure she left her phone in her office again coz perhaps she's busy doing some rounds or checking her patient kaya sigurado akong pagbalik non sa office niya, pagod siya. Kaya mas maganda na yung may mababasa siya para naman kahit papa'no mabawasan ang pagod niya.

As I send those message, wala pa din siyang reply so I drink all the soda left on my glass. I'm super bored rn and I have nothing to do just to keep myself busy. Well, ito ang ayoko kapag nasa office eh. I get bored easily.

I keep on checking my phone from time to time coz I'm waiting for Lizzy's reply pero wala talaga eh. After a second, my phone vibrates and guess what, hindi nasayang ang paghihintay ko coz my love replied na.
