CHAPTER 80

Rod's POV
It's been 2 days and I woke up because of the alarm I set last night. Tinatamad nga akong bumangon eh. I don't know but it feels like ayokong pumasok sa trabaho ngayon. Parang gusto ko nalang humilata dito maghapon and do nothing but to rest and sleep.

I stay on the bed muna for like 5 minutes and by the time I was about to get up, my phone vibrates and as I check the senders name, it's Franky. So I read it right away.

From Franky:
Tito Lucas is here, hinahanap ka! Pumunta ka na dito, bilis!

As I read her message, my eyes widen so I immediately get up and head to the bathroom. "Tsk! Bakit naman hindi siya nagsasabi? All of a sudden bumibisita nalang eh. I was planning not to go to work pa naman! (in his mind)".

I wore plain shirt and a black jeans then paired with white shoes. It looks okay naman so I immediately did something to my hair na and spray some perfume all over my shirt then leave.

To be honest, I got pissed off when I saw Lizzy's car isn't at the garage. "You left again without even telling me? Okay, then so be it." As I hopped in my car, I turned on the engine then leave.

It took me 30 minutes to reach the site at pagdating ko, sinalubong ako agad ni Franky.

Franchesca: Kanina pa naghihintay sayo si Tito!

Rod: I know, I know. Where is he?

Franchesca: In your office. Bilisan mo na! Goooo!!

Franky pushed me which cause me to run. While heading to my office, I was praying na sana hindi siya galit because if that happens, I'm done.

As I open the door, I saw him sitting infront of my desk while leaning his back on the chair.

Rod: Dad! (Nervous but he still manage to smile)

Lucas: It's already 8:08am, gantong oras ka ba pumapasok sa trabaho? Lunes pa naman.

Rod: No, dad. Ahm, I've been doing plates kasi kaya alas kwatro ng umaga na po ako nakatulog (then sit on his swivel chair)

Lucas: Is that so?

Rod: Yes, Dad (nodded). On the day after tomorrow, ipapakita ko na po sa inyo yung plano for our client na gusto ng classic design before presenting it to them.

Lucas: On the day after tomorrow? I thought dapat bukas yun, Roderick.

Rod: Y-yes Dad pero kulang po ako sa oras eh.

Lucas: (sigh) Okay, okay. Pasalamat ka good mood ako ngayon dahil kung hindi baka ilipat kita.

Rod: Dad naman!

Lucas: Anyway, next week sasabay kami ng mommy mo to visit our trails in the province ha? Ang kulit eh, diko naman matanggihan.

Rod: Hindi mo matanggihan kasi takot ka, Dad? (Chuckled)

Lucas: Of course not!

Rod: Sus! Kunwari ka pa, Dad. Eh takot ka naman talaga kay Mommy eh (then laugh)

Lucas: Hindi! The thing is kaya hindi ko siya matanggihan is that I've been busy this past few months. Kahit naman hindi niya sabihin, alam kong nagtatampo siya. Ramdam ko yun, anak (Then smile weakly)

To be honest, those words hit me. Nakonsensiya ako agad kasi minsan hindi ko sinasagot ang mga tawag ni Mom eh. Napaisip tuloy ako, what if malungkot pala siya nung mga araw at oras na yun? Hayst! Heto ako, nagtatampo kasi nawawalan na ng oras sa akin si Lizzy and I hate the feeling pero bakit ko ginagawa yun sa sarili kong nanay? She doesn't deserve it. "Oh god! I'm really sorry, mom (in his mind)".
