Chapter 18

Evelyn's Pov

I yelped at the sudden rough pull Thomas had for me when he pulled me inside the Castle then dragging me downstairs with him "w-where are you taking me?" I asks with my shaky voice. Thomas ignored me, People and servants around looking at us as they heard my screams then thomas noticed them "What are you looking at?! Get back to work!" He yelled and they started to get back to work.

Thomas pulled me downstairs then pushed me to the chair but carefully, I sat down properly then he pulled out a curtain revealing Anne and Carl. I gasped at their condition, bruises in their faces "Carl! Anne!" I shout out for them worriedly.

Anne woke up but her eyes were tired "E-evelyn?" She asks with her low and weak voice, tears starts to form in my eyes. "Yes! Anne it's me!" I said with my shaky voice. I looked up to this bastard "Y-you- let them go, you monster!" I shouted at Thomas who was leaning on the wall.

"Oh no, They live there and be happy that they are still alive or do you want them laying lifelessly on the floor, then?" Thomas asks with his ugly smirk, I pushed him away from me "Do it and I swear to heavens I'll-" Thomas cutted me off by leaning in closer towards my face.

"Or what, darling? You'll kill me? You cant even punch me by your little fists then how are you going to kill me?" He asks while laughing like a maniac, I glare at him then Thomas gasps "Oh! I remember, we haven't finish our wedding night. Now you peasants if you'll excuse us, we are going to make a lots of babies" thomas said to Anne who was half unconscious.

I widened my eyes when Thomas starts to grab and drag me out of the dungeon room "No! Anne, Carl! Let go of me you monster!" I yelled out when Thomas signalled the guards as the two of them held both of my arms to prevent me from moving as they followed Thomas upstairs to his bedroom.

"Thomas, no please! I dont want this!" I cried out, I dont want this monster to take me. The guards placed me down on the bed then tied both of my arms when Thomas stopped them "No, no let her arms go. I'll be the one to pin them with my grip" He said, the guards feels awkward in the same room preparing for their King to have his first night with his wife.

The guards untied my arms, I started to get up then Thomas pushed me back down and I groaned in pain. He then gave me his smirk when he heard my groan "This is just the beginning, love and yet you are also getting excited"

"Get out!" He said and the guards nodded, bowing before leaving the room. Tears in my eyes starts to form, I keep trying on getting up then Thomas held both of wrist above my head "Calm down and let me have you" I cried out more and shaking my head "Never!" I said and Thomas became furious as he starts to remove the tie of my shirt, revealing half of my neck and chest.

I shook my head, trying to get out of his tight grip "Let me go! I dont want this please!" I cried out, my heart getting heavy of crying. In the side of my eye I saw Jack looking at my state worriedly "Y-your Majesty!" Jack called him and Thomas groaned and keeps trying to focus on removing the tie of my shirt "Not now, commander! Cant you see we are busy?!"

Jack bit his lip then stood up straightly "Sire, this is Urgent! You must go now to see it!" Jack said, I kept on crying silently while looking at Jack with my blurry eyes due to the tears. Thats when Thomas punched the bed beside me and I flinched "You always disturbed our moment! This is not the first time but the 3rd time! We are having our first night and you disturbed us!" Thomas said angrily.

Jack keep himself straight "Majesty shall do it later, This is really urgent. Its about your plan to war" he said, Thomas then look back down at my crying state. "I'll be right back and I'll make sure, I promised to kill anybody who goes in!" He whispered to me before he tied both of my hands up beside the nightstand.

I cried silently, Thomas stood up and walked out of the room. Jack watched me before walking towards me slowly "Evelyn?" I keep crying silently while looking down "I'm so sorry" he said sadly, I snifled "W-what happened to Jessica?" I asks while looking up to him.

Jack looked down "I was about to ask her where she'd told you to go but I was too late" he said, I frowned and looked at him confusedly "what do you mean?" I asks. Jack looked at me "she was killed" I gasped, unbelievable.

I shook my head "no, no that's not true. S-she helped me a-and she promised to escape, she is just hiding. Yeah y-yeah she is!" I said as I chuckled and think it was a joke, Jack shook his head while looking down "Thomas killed her for helping you escape"

Tears began forming my eyes as I cannot wipe it with my hands tied up behind "Y-you could've stopped him" I said lowly before starting to cry, Jack held me worriedly and hugged me as I cry in his arms "No! She is alive! S-she is alive!" I cried out, Its not true. She escaped and maybe she got back in the house where Stella her sister is.

Jack sighed and caressed my back "She's dead, Evelyn!" He said, I shook my head, denying it. "Here, let me cover you up. Half of your chest is revealed" Jack said while covering my whole body with a blanket, I looked up to Jack "Jack? What am I going to do to stop his cruelness?" I asked.

Jack then looked back to me and sighed "I have no idea, Evelyn. You see when Thomas lost his mother and his cruel Father took that innocent inside of him and made his son like him" Jack said, I frowned and getting more curious of the life of Thomas.

"What happened?" I asks, Jack looked down "he was forced to do what his Father wants him to do, Sire has no choice because he was a kid back when his Father forced him" Jack said sadly, I frowned and getting more confused and curious of Thomas, There is a part where Jack is wrong. He said his father took that innocent inside of Thomas but when we both spend the time together back then why is he fun to talk and funny guy, not the cruel one that Jack talked about.

It means, There is still the innocent thomas inside of him and I need to bring it back in the front of his heart, I looked at Jack "What am I going to do, Jack?" I asked and he looked at me for a while before answering "Change him"

I frowned "what?" I said shockingly, how am I going to change him? Jack looked around when he heard voices nearby "Spend time with him, get to know him completely and you'll see in the next month he'll be completely change" Jack said, I nodded and take note of it in my brain "Got it" I said and Jack looked around again "when Thomas comes back and continue what he'll do to you, talk to him properly and distract him but remember Evelyn, when you try to change him. Everything will be change too, can you accept it?" He asks.

I take a deep breath, should I really do this? I have to. I need to see the old Thomas again, I nodded and looked at Jack who quickly looked the door and rushed behind there "Then change him, I know you can" That's when the door opened revealing few of guards to guard me I think, Jack nods at me before walking out of the room.

Now I only have to wait for Thomas, I need not to be afraid. I dont know when to start to change him but I feel like I can do it, Just be kind like you used to be friends before, Evelyn. You can do it.
