Chapter 53

Evelyn's Pov

I wore my night dress while smiling at myself in the mirror, this has been the happiest day of my life. Tomorrow were going to visit Nikolai and for Thomas to apologise to him, I brush my hair while looking down my lap when suddenly a cold hand touched my shoulder, I looked up to the mirror seeing Thomas smiling at me.

"You look beautiful" He whispered in my ear, making me shiver and returned a smile. "Thank you" I said softly, Thomas smiled and turned me around before pulling me into a passionate kiss. My arms slowly wrap around his neck and I broke the kiss slowly. "You don't know how happy I am today, Thomas" I said while looking up to his eyes.

Thomas chuckled softly "I am also  happy. this is the best day of my life, spending the day with you can make me feel like more than a life time" He said, my heart flustered by his sweet confession. "I love you, Thomas. Remember that" I said while smiling, Thomas smiled down at me "I love you too, Evelyn" He said softly before kissing my forehead.

He held my hand before he pulled carried me in bridal style, I scream silently in surpised and I quickly wrap my arms around his neck to prevent myself from falling. Thomas chuckled at my reaction before carrying me to the bed then laying me down as he put the blanket around me, I smiled sweetly at him.

I expected Thomas to lie down beside me when he turned around, I sat up and furrowed my brows "Where are you going?" I asked, Thomas turned to look at me "I have so much papers to sign" He said, I pouted slightly sad "You're tired, sleep beside me" I replied, Thomas sighed and walked back to the bed as he lay down beside me before pulling me into his arms "Sleep now, my love" He whispered, feeling warmth in my heart and in my body. I slowly closed my eyes, I can feel Thomas kissing my forehead before I slept in his arms peacefully.

In the morning, opening my eyes slowly and yawned. Quickly covering my eyes as the sunlight hitting my face "Good Morning, Thomas" I said with my eyes close, I heard nothing from him and I expected him to be still sleeping. So I open my eyes to look at him but found the bed beside me empty, looking around as I sat up from the bed. Rubbing my eyes, now where's that Thomas gone?

After some time, I got out of the room and walked the hallway. I met Carl with a tray on his hand, I gasped and quickly went to him "Carl! Where have you been?" I asked, Carl replied "Oh! Evelyn, I heard you were pregnant" He said with wide eyes, I smiled and nodded my head "Yes, I am" I replied, Carl smiled sweetly to my flat stomach. It's just been a day since my pregnancy so my stomach is not so big "Anne told you that right?" I said with a chuckle, Carl frowned his brows "Not only me, She told everyone in this Palace about your pregnancy" He exclaimed.

I gasped and caressed my temple "oh, gosh. She can't keep a secret, what if this pregnancy she called is just fever and stomach ache" I said, Carl chuckled "Even if you're pregnant now or not, it's still gonna happen anyway" He said with a smirk, I widened my eyes and a blush in my cheek forming, I hit his arms "Yo- go back to Anne!" I said, Carl laughed even more and bow down while still smirking "Yes, your Majesty" He said before walking away.

I sighed, caressing my forehead. They're both a tease, now i can't forget about Thomas and I- uh stop thinking, stop thinking! I turned around and walked back to the halls then to the dining room "Good Morning, Your Majesty" The maids said while smiling, I smiled back at them kindly "Morning, what's breakfast for today?" I asked, One of the maid brought me a milk then a melon. I looked both at them confusedly.

"It's for the future King or Queen of Ellesmere" She said while giggling, I remembered about Anne telling all of the people in Ellesmere. Now, I'm gonna deal with this. I smiled at them "well, Thank yo-" they cutted me off by bringing me some fruits "I harvested them, for your baby" The other maid said with a wide smile.
