Chapter 51

Thomas Pov

Gripping my sword tightly as Evelyn stood infront of me and covering Nikolai's body behind her, making me to feel anger and jealous "Stop protecting him!" I clenched my fist, Evelyn shook her head "Thomas please!" Evelyn said while looking at my eyes, I looked at Nikolai and gripped my sword "You killed his sister, what would you do if i were killed infront of you? You would also take that person's life, right?" She asked.

She is right, but the anger in me is not holding it in. Looking up to Nikolai who's already looking at me "Go and I hope I will never see you again" I whispered, Evelyn held Nikolai and turned to face him "go, now Nikolai" She said to him, Nikolai nodded and looked down "Thank you, Evelyn" He whispered before turning around and left with his armies.

I did not realized that we won, once the armies of Nikolai started to walk away. My mens started to shout in happiness of our victory, Evelyn looked up to me slowly and hugged me tightly, I hugged her back and felt the warm in her body on mine.

"No one shall try and take you away from me" I whispered while kissing her forehead, Evelyn rests against my arms and held her tightly protectively. We've won the war but Nikolai is still alive and I fear that he'll try and take Evelyn away from me again, I'll show him he won't.

Later we arrived back in the Kingdom, while Evelyn slept on my lap while on the carriage I looked out of the window and caressing Evelyn's hair. The carriage slowly stops, making Evelyn to open her eyes and yawn slightly "Are we here?" She asks, I smiled and nodded my head "Yes we are" I replied, Evelyn sit up as she heard the trumpet and celebration sound outside "King and Queen of Ellesmere is back!"

Evelyn held my hand as we step together outside the carriage and everybody cheered up while waving at us, I smiled at everyone and Made our way inside the Palace "Welcome back, Your Majesties" I nodded and before I get to reply, Anne bursted of the hall "Evelyn! You didn't told me that yo- oh, sorry Your Majesty" She cutted her sentence as soon as she saw me, why does everybody so afraid me?

I shook my thoughts away, Evelyn looked at me with a smile "Can I go to my room?" She asked, I smiled and nodded "Go ahead" I replied, Evelyn bowed down as excuse before taking Anne with her upstairs. Commander aldric stood infront of me "Sir, what about Prince Nikolai?" He asked.

I look down slightly for a while before answering "Don't mind him" I said simply before turning around to leave when he said "He stole Evelyn away from you, Your Majesty. Tis unacceptable to just let him go like that" He said while looking at me, I looked back at him "Forget about it, Commander" I said coldly before leaving his sight, I still feel anger inside of me but I had to control it.

Walking upstairs and stopping infront of Evelyn's room, I knocked on the door and Anne stood up before leaving quickly. Evelyn stood up as well "You gotta stop scaring my friend like that" she said, I chuckled "Am i that scary?" I asked and she replied "Not really" I laughed and sat on the bed "You really do love me that much, Thomas?" She asks me.

Looking up to her eyes that are sparkling, I stopped myself inside from urging to kiss her soft pink lips "Yes, You dont know how hard am I controlling my anger for Nikolai" I replied, Evelyn looked down and held my hand "I want you to be friends with him again" She whispered, I bit the side of my cheek and looked down "It's not that easy, Evelyn" I whispered.

Evelyn smiled "He is your friend, You don't have to but it's my only wish" She said, Looking into her eyes that was sparkling without her knowing "Evelyn" I whispered warned her, She kept smiling with her eyes sparkling that made me leaned in and kissed her lips, finally.

Kissing her deeply, Evelyn seemed shock at first but quickly responded and I held her cheek while pulling her closer. God, I love her so much. She is too precious to be mine, Evelyn start to lose air as she held my hand and I pulled away, breathing heavily before leaning my forehead against hers.

Evelyn looked into my eyes "I love you so much, I cannot control myself" I whispered and Evelyn replied "You don't have to control yourself around me, I love you too. Thank you for being with me" She said, making me smile and kissed her forehead sweetly.

"Let me treat you, It's not that deep but here" She said while holding out a cloth, I held my arm out to show her the scratch on my arms that Nikolai did. While Evelyn treated my wound, I kept looking down at her face lovingly and I cannot help but to fall for her even more.

Nikolai's Pov

Looking at Evelyn's painting, I told her I'd stop loving her but I cannot help but to grew more feelings for her. Her goodness, her beauty and her heart is the one my mother described my true love. Tears start to form in my eyes, it's not about that we lose but about Evelyn.

I loved her and that isn't going to change my mind, I held my hair tightly as I screamed in rage and in sadness while throwing the things infront of me. Closing my eyes tightly as I calmed down a bit, tears in my eyes start to fall down my cheek. Jack came behind me with a shock face "Your Majesty, You arrived and still alive" He said with wide eyes.

I looked at him curiously "oh, why? You expect me to come back dead?" I asked angrily, Jack shook his head "No, Sire" He said simply while looking down. I looked away and sighed "Just dont mind it and get a maid to clean this mess" I said coldly while walking away from him, Inside of me thought that this man is not to be trusted. but We'll see his true intentions.

Evelyn's Pov

I woke up with Thomas beside me, I smiled automatically and kissed his nose, when suddenly I feel like vomiting. I quickly stood up and ran to the bathroom, vomiting as I held the walls as support and my stomach starts to hurt. Am I hungry?

I also felt this way before but not vomiting, after a few minutes. I walked out of the bathroom while caressing my stomach, I looked up to see no sign of Thomas. Turning around and I jumped to see him behind me "Where have you been?" He asked while pulling me in his arms with my waist.

I looked down nervously "I just used the bathroom, why?" I asked, Thomas frowned "I was worried when I found myself alone in my bed and I thought you escaped" He said while hugging me, I widened my eyes in shock and responded to his hug "Come on, Thomas. I told you that I love you, I won't leave you" I replied and thomas kissed my forehead.

"Glad to hear that, I love you too" he whispered, I smiled and held him as Thomas pulled me downstairs with him "Let's eat some breakfast, I'm getting hungry" He said, I chuckled and nodding my head "Alright, Mister starving" I said with a smile, thomas chuckled and walked downstairs with me.

After a moment, I caressed my stomach as a sign of full. But it's still hurting, maybe I should use the bathroom? I stood up and walked upstairs then was about to go inside the room when Anne hugged me tightly "Evelyn! I saw you walking like your injured, are you okay?" She asked while checking my body.

I chuckled, shaking my head "I'm fine, Anne just stomach ache" I replied, Anne furrowed her brows "but you are walking weirdly! Come, let's check you" She said while pulling me with her to the halls and into her room "You surely going to be a medician in the future!" I exclaimed.

Anne laughed before letting me sit on the chair "Be comfortable, Carl is outside starting to learn how to fight like a warrior" She said, looking down to my laps while smiling "I thought he's gone out fishing, I miss seeing him fishing" I said with a chuckle, Anne shook her head while laughing softly "Oh no, he should be a fisherman then!" She replied.

I laughed and nodded in agreement, Anne slowly sat beside me "Theres many kinds of things why your stomach is hungry" She said, I sighed and just listened to her. "It could be the cause of cold air around you or hungerness" Anne said with her hand on her chin.

Sighing deeply "Oh, Anne. I told you, it's not hungerness" I replied, Anne shook her head "That's impossible, that's always the common problem of the cause of stomach ach-" I cutted her sentence off "I vomited, okay?" I said while crossing my arms, Anne did not think of anything and quickly widened her eyes.

I looked at her confusedly "Anne, what is it?" I asked, Anne bit her lip and leaned her head on my stomach. She is weirder to be a medician now "Okay, so with no other thoughts in my mind" She started before sitting up while looking down at my stomach, I kept looking at her curiously "Anne, wha-" She cutted my sentence off and this time my eyes widened in shock "You're pregnant" Anne said while holding my both hands.
