Chapter 45

Evelyn's Pov

Opening my eyes slowly, touching my head and it hurts. I remember when I turned to look at Jack, he hit me with his shield in the back of my head that made me lose conciousness. Why?

My eyes start to form tears, how could he do this to me? Nikolai betrayed me then also Jack? Why.. I wiped my tears away but I continued to cry silently, where am I? I looked around the room and it's like i'm in someone's Kingdom.

Standing up slowly while holding my head, i'm getting headache of this. Twisting the door knob opened and gladly it's not lock, walking out of the room then looking left and right but the hallways are empty.

I walked out completely from the room and start to walk to the other side, where is Thomas? He needs to know that where I am. I kept walking straight then I saw Jack standing infront of me, I moved back away "Where do you think you're going?" He asked.

Moving back cautiously "Jack, why did you do it?" I asked suddenly, Jack kept looking at me and ignored the question "Let's get you back inside" He said as he held my arm and dragged me back to the room with him. "Wait, stop. I am asking you" I said quickly.

Jack pulled me inside the room before looking at me "Forgive me, Evelyn. I work for the Prince" He said, I looked at him in disbelief "Jack, After all we've been through. Our good memories together, does that mean anything to you?" I asked, Jack looked down for a while "It does mean to me, but I hate those memories when you didn't love me back" He said before trying to close the door.

I stopped him quickly "Jack, let's talk about this" I said with my eyes tearing up, He looked at me coldly "I'm sorry, Evelyn. I loved you before" He said, I looked at him in disbelief. My friend is betraying me "I trusted you" I whispered lowly, making the tears stream down my cheeks.

Jack look sad and worried but quickly covered it "The Prince will be here in a minute, I'll tell him you woke up" He said before bowing down and left but not before locking the door so I won't escape, I fell on the floor on my knees while crying silently. Oh, Jack i'm so sorry..

I covered my eyes as I cry silently, suddenly someone knocked on the door. I quickly snapped out and stood up from the floor, wiping my tears away then the door opened by Nikolai with Jack behind him "Evelyn, you're finally awake" Nikolai said with a smile.

Moving back away while looking down, Nikolai stepped inside the room "Wait outside, Jack" He said, Jack stayed before Nikolai closed the door. "How are you feeling?" He asked while trying to touch my head but I quickly move back "Why did you bring me here?" I asked suddenly, making Nikolai to put his hands in his pockets "This is where you'll live from now on and yo-" I cutted him off quickly "Nikolai, I am a Queen of Ellesmere and back there is my home" I said loud and clear to him.

Nikolai nodded and looked down at me "Before you were, tomorrow we will get married and we will rule this Kingdom together" He said seriously, I frowned my brows "What are you talking about, I am already married!" I said, what is he talking about? Nikolai sighed and caressed my cheek "We can remove your title as the Queen of Ellesmere, I can claim you dead as Evelyn and you'll get married to me" He said, I scoffed and slap his hand away from my cheek "Nikolai, that is impossible to happen!" I said in disbelief.

He chuckled before shooking his head "Nothing is impossible, Evelyn. Just difficult" He said, before pecking my cheek and I move back away from him in disgust then only to be pulled back in his arms with his grip on my waist "Don't touch me, Nikolai! I'm still married with Thomas and when Thomas finds out about this, you are dead" I said while clenching my fist.

Nikolai just laughed "As if I'm scared of him, When he comes here. Things will never be the same anymore, Evelyn. Because there will be wars, screaming and death but don't worry. You are safe with me, we made a deal that whoever wins the war will have you" He said, I widened my eyes and shook my head "Nikolai, don't do this please!" I pleaded, this plan is crazy! No one should be hurt and no war will happen again.

Nikolai smiled and caressed my hair "Evelyn, marry me tomorrow and there will be no war against the Kingdom of Ellesmere" He whispered, I shook my head "Nikolai, you don't have to do this. I can't marry the man whom I don't love" I said with teary eyes, Nikolai shake his head "You don't have to, Just marry me and I'll make you fall in love with me" He said while holding my hand.

I can't agree with this plan of his, No. "Nikolai, I'm sorry but I don't love you" I said honestly, Nikolai clenched his fist "Everybody loves me, Evelyn. Why can't you? Why is it that you are being different, why can't you love me like everybody does?!" He shouted, I jumped a little and clenched my fist "Because love is no force, nor feelings. It's the heart, Nikolai! My heart doesn't love you even if I had to sacrifice my life, I cannot force my heart to love someone else that I truly not love!" I replied.

Making Nikolai to clenched his fist "Then, let me love you!" He yelled before kissing me forcedly, I mumbled against his lips and tried pushing him away with my strength but he's much stronger to hold me so tight. He starts to unbutton the tie of my dress and that gave me a chance to push him then slapped him so hard, his face sideward.

I looked at him angrily "This, You call this love? Look at yourself, Nikolai!" I said while clenching my fist, turning around to leave the room but got pulled by my waist then Nikolai's lips on mine again but more roughly, he's not listening to me! "i won't listen! Love or not, whatever it is. I don't care, I want you to be mine and mine only!" He mumbled against my lips.

I shake my head, trying to push him away but he held my wrists tightly in his grip while he continued to kiss me quickly and hungrily. He doesn't know my trick yet, I stomped on his shoes and Nikolai broke the kiss as he groaned in pain. I widened my eyes and opened the door before running away quickly "Catch her! Bring her to me un- injured!" I can hear Nikolai screaming from behind.

Jack ran from behind but I ran more faster than him, don't get caught! I was about to reach the door that leads outside but 2 guards standing infront, I yelled loudly before kicking them both then making them groaned and fall to the ground. Opening the big door quickly"Get her! Don't let her escape, you idiots!" I gasped and continued running. I don't know where is the Kingdom of Ellesmere but the important is I'll escape from Nikolai's kingdom!

I kept running till my stomach starts to hurt from running, I gasped for air. No not today, I need to escape make them lose track of me but then someone grabbed me from behind. Making me stumble slightly, one of the guards held me tightly "You've let us ran a 2 minute that makes us lose half of our belly, your Majesty" The guards said while panting for air before they brought me back to the Palace.

I tried stomping them but they held me tightly so I won't kick nor stomp their feet, Nikolai came infront of us before punching one of the guard "Didn't I told you not to hurt Evelyn?! You made her lose breathe" He asked angrily, one of the guard looked down "Forgive us, your Majesty" They said.

Nikolai groaned and held me tightly "Evelyn, give us a time together and stay calm because I'm gonna lock you in your room now" He said, I widened my eyes "No, let me go!" I yelled loudly but he ignored me "We'll wait for tomorrow evening till our wedding, I'm gonna remove that title of yours and gonna make you Queen of Mithorine, how'd you like it?" He asked while dragging me upstairs, I ignored him and look away in disgust. Thomas, where are you? I need to get out of here, please save me..

Thomas Pov

I held my hair tightly, I'm getting mad. We are planning for the war but I cannot concentrate, I want to make sure Evelyn is fine there. I hope she escapes, she knows how to kick and stomp people's foot. I believe in her but Here I am, still worried.

"And here, sire. Is the map where we destroy the gates, there is a little tunnel inside which can lead inside the Palace. We know the Kingdom well enough" The man said, I nodded and held his shoulder "Good Job, we'll wait for the general to come and plan this up right now" I said seriously, Everyone looked up to me "Your Majesty, your planning us to go to war tomorrow morning?" One of my men asked.

I held my hand and looked at him coldly "No, but we'd expect to start the war next tomorrow in the morning. Make sure to ready the new swords we've brought!" I yelled, "Aye, sir!" I looked around everybody's swords every table "Good, here needs a little sharpened. Tomorrow we prepare many mens from another Kingdom!" I yelled for everyone to hear, They nodded and yelled back "Yes, Sire!"

Walking to the balcony, clenching my fist of the thought of Nikolai touching Evelyn is not a good idea of thinking. I might explode here and plan the war now, Evelyn. Stay strong there, I am coming. Don't worry, I'm gonna end those two bastards life.
