I fell down, bounced off one rock, then another, and then a third, and finally fell to the very bottom. I lost consciousness.
I don't know how long I've been unconscious. It seemed like a few moments, and I didn't know what it really was, but I knew I had to find him.
"Kili... '' I stammered and opened my eyes a little, which was very difficult. The lids seemed to be heavier than usual.
I tried to get up, but the pain I felt all over my body wouldn't let me. I tried again. I grabbed the sword that had fallen out in my fall and stood unsteadily on my feet. My body ached, but I tried to take a step forward. It was difficult and very painful, but somehow I managed. Then another and another. I tried not to think about the pain, but about Kili. The last moment I saw him was pulling Bolg away from him, then falling off the cliff and all I could hear was his scream. Unfortunately, I didn't know what happened next with him.
Panic and fear seized me. What if... No, definitely no.
Kili is alive ... I thought. I just need to find him.
I have to climb the hill again. I wonder how can I do it if every bone hurts me...
I sighed and walked closer to the hill. Suddenly I saw something. Something thanks to which climbing the hill won't be that difficult. Stairs, stone, slightly damaged stairs. I hobbled towards them and started climbing as fast as I could. The pain lessened with each passing moment. Perhaps because my thoughts were now around Kili and the others, not the pain.
After a few moments, I was upstairs. I started to look around breathlessly. There was no sign of Kili anywhere. I entered the tower and went to where we were fighting. I saw blood that made me gasp.
"Kili!! " I screamed, terrified, but got no answer. "Kili!! " I screamed again and felt tears begin to flood my eyes.
At this point, I started to panic. I walked a bit further and saw even more blood.
"No..." I whispered. "Kili!! " Still no answer.
Due to the flowing tears, I could hardly see the road, so I wiped them quickly and climbed higher. I saw a dagger that belonged to Kili, and blood around it stretched out to the front as if it were pointing the way. So I followed it lead.
I looked around but there was no sign of my dwarf anywhere.
"Kili!! " I shouted through my tears.
I turned and saw a body with someone standing next to it. I looked at him and felt more salty tears. But this time they were tears of happiness. The body belonged to Bolg, and Kili was standing next to it. A bit battered, but he was alive, and that's the most important thing.
"Kili..." I said through tears and ran towards him.
I threw myself on his neck. Dwarf grabbed me and we turned around together.
"I was scared that..." I said, still crying.
"I know..." He replied. "I thought the same about you..." We looked into each other's eyes.
I took his face in my hands, and then he did the same.
"Never scare me like that again! " I cried. "You understand? "
"Never again..." He replied, and after a while I saw his tears.
We approached each other and kissed. Boy grabbed my waist, and I took his face in my hands. This moment could last forever, but we still had a war to win.
"I love you..." He said, looking me straight in the eyes.
"I love you too. " I replied and hugged him.
