Chapter Thirty-Two

(*It's been a few days since a big tree branch fell on Vixen91, which resulted in Tommy Thayer rushing her to the hospital*)

(*Now, Vixen91 is currently resting so that the injury to her head will heal*)

Tommy: Oh, my beautiful spacequeen. *sits down on the soft next to Vixen91* How could this happen to you?

Vixen91: It'll be okay, my spaceking. I just need to rest and drink plenty of water, just like the doctor said.

Me: Yeah, and I'm sure that you'll be feeling all better once we get to the very last chapter of Truth or Dare With KISS Book #34.

(*Then, me and the guys and the girls hear the doorbell ringing*)

Vinnie: *is holding Baby Anansi in his arms*

Anubis: I get it momma! *excitedly runs over to the front door of the spare building and then opens it*

Mail man: *smiles at Anubis* Top of the Mornin' to ya lass! *tips his mail hat*

Anubis: *looks up at him and doesn't say anything

Me: *quickly gets up form where I was sitting and goes to see who's at the door* Anubis, honey. Remember? Stranger danger...

Mail mam: *takes out something from his mail bag* Here's the mail for today. *gives the mail to me*

Me: *smiles politely even though I don't appreciate the mail man talking to Anubis* Thank you. *takes the mail and shuts the door and then locks it tight*

Anubis: *looks up at me and starts to feel a little bit upset* M-momma...Upset?

Me: No, sweetheart. *smiles* Momma just doesn't like it when strangers talk to you or your baby sister.

Paul: I agree! They're supposed to be doing their job, not talking to kids.

Anubis: *hugs my legs*

Me: Aww. It's okay, Anubis. *picks up Anubis and holds him in my arms*

Vinnie: *watches me sit back down on the couch next to him* We're not mad at you, Anubis., okay? We are just trying to protect you from danger.

Gene: Yes, you're exactly right Vinnie.

Eric Singer: They are some people who are bad and want to hurt little kids like you, jd that's why talking to a stranger isn't really a good idea.

Anubis: *looks at me, then at Vinnie, and then sees that Baby Anansi has started to open her eyes for the first time* Anansi wakey wakey!

Vinnie: *smiles when he sees that Baby Anansi has opened her eyes* Aww. *presses a little kiss to the baby's forehead*

Suzy: *sighs happily* I remember when our kids opened their eyes for the first time.

Eric Carr: *chuckles* So do I, my vixen. *kisses Suzy on the cheek and then nuzzles her nose*
