You were so excited for the class 1-A reunion, and even happier to see your crush. But it's always one step forward and 2 steps back wh...
You walk through padded halls, the air conditioner chilling your exposed skin.
In a couple of the equipment gyms, some interns and sidekicks were lifting weights and in a combat room, some people were sparring.
And finally, you come to a room at the end of the hall, the white hue of the lights flooding the grey and red coloured walls.
The sign at the end of the hall read, 'POOL A' he opens the door for you,
"Ladies first."
you smile at him and he closes the door behind you.
The hulking man behind you follows closely as you stare at the pool.
It was partially covered, but half of the pool was illuminated by the night sky with the stars hanging just above your head.
"Okay, what the fuck is up with that?"
you chuckle, pointing to the probably artistic lack of roof.
"Dunno. I didn't design it."
you groan, but again this place was beautiful for being a training facility.
"Doesn't seem too practical."
"You ask too many questions, Dozey."
you laugh before you walk to the edge of the pool.
It was heated, with LED's lining the pool.
But before long you feel two large hands nudge you into the pool.
You scream before landing in the water.
"Katsuki! You asshole!"
you blow some water out of your mouth while he snickers.
You pull yourself out of the pool and grab his ankle.
The water formed a puddle beneath him.
but before you can do anything he jumps in.
The splash sends your hair back and now you stare at him stunned as he immerges from the water.
You can see bubbles rise from his spot in the water, and it makes you smile when he shakes his hair like a wet dog.
You put your hands up in defence as heated water droplets fall on your skin.
You splash him back and he laughs, a sincere smile growing like a flower on his face.
He wraps his arms around you in a bear hug, pulling you to his broad chest.
He just lets you rest there while you kick your legs in the water.
He holds you above the illuminated water, smiling at you as if you were the most precious thing he had ever set eyes on.
"So, aside from the whole crazy girlfriend thing, how are you? How are you- liking it here I mean."
"With you? Couldn't be better." I
t falls off of your tongue before you can stop it and a shameless blush falls over his ears.
You smile at this, bashful Bakugou was probably the best Bakugou.
"It's good. I finally got approved so I'm technically doctor approved to enter the field and start the intern thingie."
you smile at your own accomplishments.
You always thought you would end up being a sidekick or something a little less important than a specialized paramedic.
"Then let me treat you to dinner, to uh- celebrate."
'Like a date?' you think to yourself, you sounded just a little bit to eager, but it didn't seem he picked up on that.
"As long as I don't have to pay, I'm down for anything."
he smiles, and you laugh at your own joke. Wet strands of blond cage his face and the more jagged ends drip with water even after he shook his head.
In the end, a pretty person is indeed always pretty.
"Why would you pay for anything when you go out with me?"
he asks the question as if the answer was obvious.
"Why wouldn't I pay for my own stuff?"
you laugh, perhaps it was a joke but again he looks as serious as ever.
"Don't you ever try to pay for shit when I'm right there."
you almost don't take it seriously,
"What? I'm confused, you mean like- ever?"
"Never. Never wanna see you trying any of that fuckin shit."
you give him a breathy laugh before pulling yourself to the edge of the pool.
You hum, strangely satisfied with the idea of him providing for you, and only you.
You shift your attention to him, but more specifically his hands.
Big, and heavy but definitely worse for wear.
But still, they were beautiful.
It makes you sink back into the water and slowly but surely approach him.
Pulling his hand into yours and stroking his scars.
"You're so beautiful."
it's silent.
"What? Never been complimented before?"
you smile, and he looks down.
The pink dust over his hardened features tells you all you need to know and makes you want to coddle him as if he were a small child rather than a full groan date.
"Well, consider dinner- a date. I need to get out of the house anyway,"
you mutter before swimming in the water you swim to the end of the pool, the humid wind blowing the hairs on your neck up to attention.
And while you drift in the water he silently watches you, trained vigilance he's grown accustomed to.
The same vigilance he relies upon to protect the city.
He walks out of the pool, grabs a towel and shows an extra one to you.
"The night shift is getting off soon, a bunch of rookies are gonna show up like they own the damn place."
you nod and climb out of the pool yourself, the wind chilling your wet body.
You pat yourself down with the towel, and he gives you his dry tank top and pulls it over your head.
"I don't need your sweaty musty man shirt."
you dry your legs
"Ugh it's moist."
you cringe and he immediately snaps back
"Well I don't want your moist ass on my car seats."
you follow him outside of the building, giggling at his remark the entire way.
