Just got the cover for the third book in this series. Tis bootiful!

She looked up.

Her family was crowding around her.

All three of them wore identical worried expressions.

Her stomach flopped like a fish out of water.

They shouldn't have to go through this.

She shouldn't have to go through this.

"What's in the letter, sweetheart?" Her mom asked slowly.

"Is it some bastard who broke up with you over a letter?" Stanley asked, narrowing his eyes, "Tell me so I can break his nose."

Her mother didn't even tell him to watch his mouth and threaten to scrub it clean with a bar of soap from the kitchen.

She opened her mouth.

Then she shut it again.

She hadn't thought about her birth parents in years.

There was nothing to think about.

All she knew was that she was born in South Korea and her birth parents had asked for an adoption. Everything had been fixed before she was even born.

Of course she was a little hurt that they chose to give her up. 

Adopted children always are. No matter how happy they are with their new families, they can't help but think, what would have happened if my birth parents hadn't given me up?

And now, after eighteen years of silence she sat here with this letter in her hand.

"Mai," Her dad tried this time, "We're worried. What is it?"

This time she found her voice.

"It's my parents." She said softly.

Ugh, I shall go to work now, wish me luck!
