Dum dum dum. I shall go to work now...*sigh*

That night, as Maia lay in bed, she couldn't help but think about what she had said to Ashley in the park.

Did she really feel otherwise?

She had never even given it a thought.

Could she and Oliver ever be together?

And more importantly, was that what she wanted?

After her outburst, Ashley had just looked at her.

"Think of it this way," She told Maia, "If you saw Oliver kissing another girl, what would you do?"

With that, she jogged off.

Now, she couldn't help but think about what her friend said.

If you saw Oliver kissing another girl, what would you do?

She'd chain the girl to a pole, pull her esophagus out and clobber her with it.

But that didn't mean anything, did it?

Her brother opened the door. "Knock knock?"

She rolled her eyes, "You're already inside."

He had a tray in his hands, "I brought you dinner, since you didn't to want to come down and eat with us."

She shook her head, "How could I, with them giving me those looks? They think they're being discreet but they really aren't." She said while taking the plate from him, "Thanks, by the way."

He sat down next to her, "No problem kid."

She took a spoonful of potatoes.

"How's Sydney?" She asked him.

His face lit up, "She's great. Just one more day and I'll be back with her."

That's right. Stanley was going back to college tomorrow.

Maia frowned, "I'll miss you."

"I know you will," Stanley grinned at her, "But we'll text and email and Skype, just like we always do."

She placed her plate on her bedside table and crawled into her brother's arms.

"I love you, big bro."

He put his arms around her, "Love you too, little sis. And you know that Mom and Dad love you too, right?"

She sighed, "Yeah, I love them too."

Her brother kissed her head, "Get some sleep, kiddo."

She nodded, "I'll do that."

Her brother walked out of the room, leaving her with her thoughts and cold food.
