Why do i feel like we're missing something?" muses Pisces softly as we pace towards a staircase spiraling steeply upwards.

"Because we are," I say, sarcasm lining my tone as I shoot him an obligatory glare. "Your brain, that's what."

"First of all, you witch," Pisces starts angrily, matching my glare, "I want to stab you right now —"

Making enemies? Euphoria's calm voice inquires. It's still terrifying. It still sends shivers down my spine. It still makes me wonder about my sanity. I don't really care if I'm sane anymore. If this is what it feels like to be insane, I really don't mind.

"Shut up!" interrupts Ari suddenly as I notice two doorways in the hallway. A silhouette is thrown over the passage, as if there's someone standing in one of the two doorways, and that doorway is open.

I stare, dimly recalling the girl in gray. "Peridot Agorix?" I ask quietly. The blonde jumps, her hair flying as she twists around, eyes wide and a startled exclamation on her lips.

"How do you remember me? You're Nia ... no, you're not ... how do you remember me?" she insists with a wide, clear–eyed look.

I don't trust the innocent. "Nia told me about you," I say coldly. Gemi mumbles something behind me, and I cast him a warning look before gazing right into her eyes.

Peridot's eyes shift. "I found this place," she trails off, "I don't know how, okay?"

Right. Suspicion rises in my chest as I eye her. She stares stubbornly back. Then again. It's possible. I'm naturally suspicious, after Leda.

"How did anyone not see you?" I ask, crossing my arms tightly over my chest.

"I snuck in! Okay?" she says with a glare at me. I can immediately see that we aren't going to get along very well. I don't care. I'm not here to make friends. I don't need friends.

"There's only a decoy," reports Caprice. I notice the room behind Peridot, it looks like a bedroom with a bedside table that's definitely smashedi n. "We need to find the actual thing, but I don't know where it could be. Who's Archer?"

"I have no idea. But maybe it's a clue?" I ask, puzzling over the word. Of course, it could be a name. Archer isn't the most unusual name. It could also represent an archer.

"Archer ... archer ... is there an archery range or a weapons room?" Carina asks and Taurus's gaze sharpens, dropping to the floor and becoming focused. I can see him puzzling through his mind.

"I think there's a weapons room. I'm not taking her with us though, who even is she?" Taurus glares at Peridot, who seems utterly unfazed.

"Peridot Agorix," she says smoothly, her gaze passing casually over the rest of the group.
