Now let the story begin.

Today is a very special day to Princess Peach. The prince of [K/N] is coming to the Mushroom Kingdom to discuss an important matter.

[P/N] is a kind and caring ruler to his people, but he is not the reason the princess is so excited. She is happy to be seeing [Y/N], [P/N]'s best friend and royal advisor. Princess Peach has known [Y/N] since they were little, and has grown quite smitten with him.

I cannot wait to see [Y/N] again, it's been almost a year since we last saw each other. Maybe I can finally tell him that I love him.

[P/N] and [Y/N] are heading to the Mushroom Kingdom to discuss matters involving Bowser, king of the koopas. Bowser has been sending his troops to attack [K/N] in order to obtain land to build an even bigger castle then he currently has.

[K/N] is a peaceful nation that has no means to defend themselves from Bowser's onslaught, so Princess Peach has asked the prince to see her personally to discuss the best way to handle this problem.

[P/N] and [Y/N] arrive at the castle to be greeted by the princess and Toadsworth.

Peach blushed as soon as she saw [Y/N].

He's still as handsome as ever.

Toadsworth : [P/N], welcome back to the Mushroom Kingdom your majesty.

Princess Peach : Yes, it's nice to see you [P/N].

[P/N] : It's great to see you both as well, I just wish it were under better circumstances. Where are my manners, I do believe you remember my right hand man [Y/N] don't you?

Toadsworth : Indeed! How are you doing lad?

[Y/N] : I am doing well my friend. It's not an easy task keeping [P/N] out of trouble, but I do my best.

[P/N] : Hey!

They all share a laugh as [Y/N] turns his attention to the princess.

He goes up to her and bows.

[Y/N] : It's a pleasure to see you again my lady. You are still as beautiful as ever.

Peach blushes and giggles.

Princess Peach : Thank you my dear [Y/N], still as charming as ever I see.

[Y/N] playfully smiled.

[Y/N] : What can I say, I aim to please.

[P/N] : Alright, that's enough you two lovebirds.

Peach and [Y/N] blushed.

Princess Peach : Right. Let us head into the castle to discuss matters.

Toadsworth : After you gentlemen, tally-ho!

They all entered the castle and spent the rest of the day discussing the best action to take. The princess came up with the idea to ask the Mario brothers to go fight Bowser, since they have had fought him multiple times in the past due to him constantly kidnapping Princess Peach.

Toadsworth : Excellent idea princess! Tomorrow morning, I will bring them here forthwith. For now, I am rather tired and will head to my quarters. Goodnight everyone!

[Y/N], [P/N], and Princess Peach : Goodnight Toadsworth.

[P/N] : I'm glad that's taken care of. Now if you excuse me, I'll be heading to my sleeping quarters.

[Y/N] : Sleep well your majesty. I'm getting tired myself, so I think I will head to my quarters as well. Goodnight princess.

Princess Peach : Wait! Don't go yet, I need to tell you something [Y/N].

[Y/N] : Oh? What might that be?

Peach had a faint blush and took in a deep breath.

Princess Peach : [Y/N], you and I have been friends for a long time. You have always been there for me and I greatly appreciate that. Every time I see you I get butterflies in my stomach and a warm feeling in my heart. I've thought about this for a long time and have finally come to a conclusion. I love you [Y/N], and I want to be with you forever.

[Y/N] was shocked. The girl he has loved for years just told him she loved him.

Is this a dream? She loves me? What did she mean by forever?

[Y/N] : I have longed to hear those words princess. Truth be told, I have loved you for a long time and was afraid to tell you how I felt. Just one question though, what did you mean when you said you wanted to be with me forever?

Peach giggled.

Princess Peach : I want to marry you silly! I have loved you for so long that I know that without a doubt, you're the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. That is, if you want to.

Please say yes [Y/N].

[Y/N] smiled and had a few tears streaming down his face.

[Y/N] : I'd be honored. I love you Peach.

Princess Peach : I love you too [Y/N]. I will make the engagement official first thing tomorrow.

[Y/N] : Alright. If it's ok with you, can we hold the wedding off until Bowser is defeated? I wouldn't want anything to jeopardize this happy occasion and I want to make sure my people with no longer be terrorized.

Peach smiled at him.

Princess Peach : That's fine with me. Your kingdom's safety is top priority my dear. Now, I think it's time we seal our engagement with a kiss my love.

Peach and [Y/N] leaned in for a kiss. After several minutes, they pull away and look at each other with pure adoration.

Princess Peach : I think it's finally time to go to bed. You will be sleeping in my room tonight darling.

[Y/N] : Just lead the way my love.

The next morning would be the start of a long lasting relationship full of love and multiple kidnappings by an angry and jealous Bowser.
