Esdeath (Akame Ga Kill)

Now let the story begin.

[Y/N] [L/N] coughs up a little blood as Najenda stands over him, ready to end his life.

Najenda : I wish it hadn't come to this [Y/N], you were my closest friend, but I will do what I must to end the Empire's tyranny.

[Y/N] [L/N] is a general of the imperial army, currently at the mercy of ex-imperial general and former friend Najenda, who is now the leader of a faction of the rebel army called Night Raid.

She looks down at her old friend and sheds a small tear.

Najenda : I will make your death quick and painless. Goodbye [Y/N].

Before she can kill [Y/N], Najenda is knocked away from him by a flurry of ice.

Najenda recovers from the attack and comes face to face with Esdeath, high ranking general of the imperial army and leader of the Empire's secret police squad called the Jaegers.

Esdeath looks at [Y/N] and then at Najenda, eyes full of cold fury and hatred.

Esdeath : Not only did you betray the Empire, but you were about to kill my beloved as well?! I'm going to kill you in the most brutal fashion possible Najenda!

She and Najenda engage in a long battle, neither of them backing down or showing any signs of growing tired.

Esdeath : You were lucky that you escaped our last battle with only a missing eye and arm, but luck won't be on your side this time traitor!

Najenda : Even if I die here, the rebellion will live on. Your end will come one day Esdeath, and I will do everything in my power to make that day today.

She rushes at Esdeath and fires her prosthetic hand at her, which Esdeath blocks with an ice wall.

Esdeath : My my, you've gotten weak since you lost the ability to use your teigu. It's such a shame really, I would've preferred to end your life with you at your full power, but oh well.

She shot several shards of ice at Najenda, which she dodges and deflects back at her.

Najenda : It's an unfortunate truth that I haven't been at full strength for quite some time, but believe me when I say I'm far from useless.

She rushes at Esdeath as she dodges her ice attacks, managing to land a powerful kick to the general's face.

Najenda prepares to deliver another blow to Esdeath, but is trapped in a web created by Araneus, a living spider teigu owned by [Y/N].

She tries to get out of the web, but to no avail.

Najenda : I can't get out of this spider's web, why is it so strong?!

Esdeath gets up and chuckles.

Esdeath : That web was created by Araneus, an incredibly powerful living teigu that belongs to my beloved [Y/N].

??? : That's right, and now I'll show you just what makes Araneus so powerful.

Esdeath and Najenda turn their attention to [Y/N], who weakly makes his way over to them.

Najenda : [Y/N]...

[Y/N] starts to wobble, but Esdeath runs over and helps him stand.

Esdeath : Don't worry my love, I've got you.

[Y/N] : Thank you, my beautiful ice goddess.

He and Esdeath begin to kiss each other passionately, much to Najenda's shock and disgust.

Najenda : [Y/N], please tell me you're not in a relationship with her?!

He ignores her question and looks at her with a smirk.

[Y/N] : You're in quite a....sticky situation aren't you Najenda? Araneus produces a very lovely and very indestructible web, wouldn't you say? Trust me though, my little arachnid ally can do much more than that.

He begins whistling a tune, causing Araneus to grow to the size of a bear as Esdeath chuckles darkly.

Araneus grabs Najenda and wraps her in the web she's trapped in, dropping her in front of [Y/N].

Najenda : What are you going to do [Y/N], feed me to your teigu?

He laughs a bit before giving her a sly grin.

[Y/N] : Well, not exactly. You see Najenda, my teigu has a rather....interesting ability. Araneus can use his fangs to magically drain the life out of any living thing without making any physical contact. Quite a useful ability, wouldn't you say Najenda?

She looks up at him with sadness.

Najenda : Please, don't do this [Y/N]. You and I used to be friends remember?

He scoffed.

[Y/N] : Our old friendship didn't seem to matter when you were about to kill me moments ago, so why bother playing that card now?

Najenda : ....I'm sorry.

[Y/N] : Tch. Doesn't matter, with you gone, Night Raid will be vulnerable without their leader. I will fight for the Empire until my last breath, goodbye General Najenda. Araneus, use your Leech Life ability!

Araneus' fangs glow a bright green and shoot a beam of the same color at Najenda, slowly draining her life force.

She grunts in pain for a few seconds before going limp.

Araneus shrinks down to his normal size and craws up [Y/N]'s neck, transforming into a spider shaped pendant.

[Y/N] : Najenda's dead. Without her, the rebellion will crumble.

Esdeath : That's true my love, now let's get those injuries of yours treated.

[Y/N] : Ok, I love you Esdeath.

She kisses him and smiles.

Esdeath : I love you too, my handsome [Y/N].

She grabs [Y/N] and starts carrying him.

[Y/N] : Really hun?

She giggles.

Esdeath : What? I know you like it when I carry you my darling.

He sighs.

[Y/N] : You're right, I really do.

She smiles and kisses his forehead, holding him in her arms as they both look forward to the day that the rebellion is crushed.
