Today is my birthday. I'm 21 years old now. This is a special time for me because it marks the beginning of my life with my wolf, Nala.

Unlike other werewolves who regain their self-awareness after shifting, my life has taken a different turn.

Having Nala has become my biggest dream, but I didn't anticipate the consequences. All I wanted was to be normal Werewolf. I never imagined that I would end up being treated like a pawn in a game, bet on and fought over like a rooster.

Yes, I agreed to the Alpha's request to fight the warriors. He manipulated me with a well thought-out plan. I didn't want him to ruin my reputation, and I have to win this fight to protect Bella and Ethan's jobs.

Here I am, standing in a vast field surrounded by other pack members. One of them asks, "Who will fight the Darkmoon warriors?"

Another replies, "I don't know. Maybe it's the one who shifted last night under the moonlight."

So they saw the moonlight last night.

"Who? Is there someone else as strong as the Alpha among us?"

"I don't know, but they're lucky, aren't they? I just wonder why."

"Could it be that darkness is coming, and the moon goddess has chosen another protector for our pack?"

If they are confused, I am even more confused about why I have been given this kind wolf. I know there must be a reason, but I don't know how to find out. I don't know where to start, especially now that the Alpha is keeping a close eye on me.

If the moon goddess has given me a role, why me? Is it a responsibility? Or maybe my father is truly unique? There are so many questions swirling in my mind, but my situation has become even more intense. The other werewolves look at me, wondering and discussing among themselves.

"Why is she there at the center?"

"Isn't she an omega working at Hildart? The former personal slave of the Alpha and the daughter of a rogue?"

"I think she must have committed a serious offense, and the Alpha will punish her."

Nala scolded me from the back of my head, 'Look at the mess you've gotten yourself into. Instead of being the Luna, you chose to become the talk of the entire pack.'

I ignored those voices and replied, 'Maybe the Alpha feels threatened, so he's challenging me in this way.'

'Goddess, you're so foolish,' Nala grumbled.

Despite my wolf's strength, I am nothing compared to the warriors. I don't even know if Nala can handle them, considering they have learned fighting techniques while I don't even know how to throw a punch. My strength is useless if I don't know how to fight.

"Why is Sophia there, Mom?" I heard my cousin ask. She is Khate, the youngest daughter. I didn't look in their direction, but I could hear their conversation.

"I don't know, maybe the Alpha wants to punish her. Maybe it's because of last night, when she left work just to meet those boys."

"Well, it's her birthday today. Maybe she celebrated in advance yesterday," said Cathy, Auntie Elvie's eldest daughter.

"It would be better if the Alpha disciplined her himself. She's so stubborn now, obviously she's immune to my daily slaps. Maybe it's better if the Darkmoon warriors break her bones now," Auntie Elvie added, and they all laughed.

I didn't pay attention to them, but I raised my face when I heard the following whispers.

"The Alpha is here, and so is the Beta!"
