After the program the teacher had set up, the students were free to do what they wanted. So you guys decided to go on a festival. There were lots of food stands and Oikawa had to stifle a laugh at your excitement upon seeing them.

Matsukawa challenged you guys to play a round coconut shy to see who would score the highest. You were waiting for a couple in front of you to finish, so that you could get started. The boy won a small price and gave it to his girlfriend. Oikawa looked at you subconsciously, wondering what you were thinking. However, you were looking at the cans fiercely and examining the ball in your hand. You probably didn't even notice the couple in front of you, as you had set your mind to one thing. And that was winning. He forgot how competitive you could get and how much you loved competitions. You would always give 100%, no matter the occasion.
"You know that the cans won't fall over by your fiery stare, right?"

Oikawa's voice broke your concentration and you looked at him competitively and smiled.
"Are you underestimating me?"

Oikawa laughed. "Oh, no, (y/n)-chan! That's the last thing I would do."
"Good!"

For a moment Oikawa thought of trying to win a price for you, just like the guy before him did for his girlfriend. But when he thought it through again, he should worry about not losing against you. Besides, if he should win against you and if he gave you the price, you would probably think that he was mocking you for losing.

First, Hanamaki was trying his luck and he was able to win a small price. Matsukawa wasn't as lucky as Hanamaki, but he too got a very small price. Iwaizumi was throwing the balls with such a force that the owner of the stand took a few steps back, afraid that he would get hit. Iwaizumi's score was very high, which only made you want to win more than before.
Oikawa's score was pretty high too, but Iwaizumi was still in first place.

When it was your turn, you threw the balls forcefully just like Iwaizumi did.
"She kinda scares me." Hanamaki whispered to Matsukawa, who only nodded in agreement.

Unfortunately, you scored under Iwaizumi. In fact, you and Oikawa had the exact same score. Your disappointment and anger were written all over your face which made the others laugh you out.
"Now, now, (y/n)-chan. There's no need to be angry. We've got the same score! You were pretty good!"
"Here. you can have my price if you want." Iwaizumi's kind offer was taken offensively.

"Are you mocking me!?" Even though you were still mad, you accepted his offer, knowing that he was just trying to be kind.
"This will always remind me of my bitter failure today." You looked to the side dramatically with an exaggerated sigh.

"And here I thought that Oikawa is the only drama queen." Iwaizumi said, finding amusement in your act.

Oikawa pouted at that remark, crossing his arms in defense. "Hey! I'm not a drama queen!"
"Said the drama queen, while acting like a drama queen." You grinned at him mockingly.
"At least I didn't scare anyone around me while playing coconut shy. That one kid decided to go to his parents and he didn't even try to play it anymore."
"Why would you mention that right now! I feel bad about it already and I didn't do it on purpose!"
Oikawa decided to guilt-trip you a little longer. "Did you actually see the fear in the poor kids face? He will never be able to forget your scary face!"
"Most definitely! Even I was scared for a second!" Hanamaki added.
"Hey! What about Iwaizumi? He was just as scary!" You said while pouting.
"I may have scared others, but I actually won." Iwaizumi was smirking mockingly.

You pointed your finger at him angrily. "Okay this it. We're all having a rematch on the shooting range!"

After another intense match, you looked at Oikawa with an empty expression. You had lost again and this time, Oikawa had won.
"Now, Now, (y/n)-chan! At least you scored higher than Iwa-chan!" Oikawa handed you his price wordlessly and you took it with a disappointed look.
Iwaizumi was angry too. "I would have won if that guy wouldn't have kept bumping into me!"
"Sounds like a lame excuse." You raised your eyebrows in suspicion.
"Big words for someone who just lost again." Iwaizumi smirked again.

Before you could make a comeback of your own, Oikawa spoke up.
"There is this small stand that sells cotton candy. We should get some. You like cotton candy a lot, don't you, (y/n)-chan?"

Your eyes lit up at the mention of cotton candy. But your excitement was replaced with confusion.
"Uhmm, yes. How do you know?"
"I-uhm, I saw you... when you were looking at a woman's cotton candy. And I-uhm thought that maybe you liked cotton candy, I guess?"
"I was? I can't remember. But yes, I actually do like cotton candy."

Oikawa let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He knew it because you told him before you lost your memory. He sometimes forgot that he wasn't supposed to know certain things about you. He had to be careful about what he said. You might end up thinking he's a stalker. Though, he was sure that you probably wouldn't think of him like that anymore. He had managed to regain your trust. You weren't acting as cold as you did when he had first met you in his world. Little by little, he was coming closer to you and breaking down your walls.
